Is this something that can normally be done and I just haven't learned how? I had a vehicle hangar camped the other night (from behind) and was killed by a tank that had his turret already turned toward me when he spawned. I had just killed 4 tanks in a row while watching them try to get their turrets around for a shot. None of them got their turret turned even 90 degrees before I killed them. Then there was a pause and I was seeing another tank materialize. He blew me away before I could tell what type of tank it was or pull the trigger. He either had his turret turned 180 degrees before spawning or spawned facing the back of the hangar. Is either supposed to be possible? And no, I don't have a film. I saw the muzzle flash from the spawning tank. I don't believe I was hit by another tank that came at me from the side or behind. I had my engine off and heard no GV sounds.
If it's trick I don't know I would sure like to learn it. I've been at the other end of that situation enough times.
Thanks

could have been lag, when I had bad lag, I was able to do this some times

Spawn in.
Jump to 2.
Start turning.
T-34 has the fastest turning turret.
Sometimes you can get it around before you "materialize."
Had just the opposite happen to me today with a spawn camper. I would die before I could even hit the 2.
I think if you have a machine that loads everything up and renders it really fast you have a definite advantage.

I think it has more to do with internet...and the client sending info to the server that he's spawned, and putting that info to the other client that is sitting there.

Probably T-34 because of turret speed. DR7 told me this tidbit when we were upping from a camped hanger. You have a better chance of getting the turret around on one than any other tank.

Well, he means why the tank didn't show up until after his turret was turned. But the T34 does have a fast turning turret, it's a real bugger sometimes!

There's a small amount of time inbetween which you spawn and which you visually appear on everybody elses' screen. I think it's like 1 second, a second and a half maybe. I imagine this is coded in to the game purposely to discourage camping.
Not that even before he appears once he's spawned he's there. You can still shoot him even though you can't see him yet.

I do it everywhere I go, it earns me alot of hacking accusations :D :huh :huh

That is the truth. Got the accusation a night or so ago myself. My advice is when camping, make sure you have a place that exposes the enemy more than yourself. Just being behind them is not enough to insure your shot is first. I have busted many a camp by dieing once to get campers location, then turning turret on next up and blasting them.

For some reason every time I try to camp an enemy hanger my frame rate drops, and the T-34s have time to turn there turrets before I actually see them appear.

They aren't accusations, they are fact.

I hate to be the one to teach people how to take advantage of a bug but, as I understand it, this is related to both lag and game mechanics.
As others have already mentioned, there's a normal amount of lag between the time an enemy spawns in and the time that they materialize on your screen. This is normal Internet lag but it only accounts for fractions of a second.
I've been led to believe that the game updates players nearer to you faster/more often than those further away so as you spawn out of the camped field tower you've been sitting in the materialization delay is at it's shortest. If, on the other hand, you go to a field across the map from the one being camped the updates to you from the other side of the map are at their slowest. Therefore, if you start from a distant field, go to the tower of the field you want to spawn from then immediately spawn you maximize the time it takes for the camper to get an update and for you to materialize in front of them. This is what allows the spawner to get the turret around before you see them.
While this is an exploitable bug, at least if everyone knows how it works the field is even and because of this camping hangers is not safe.
