Title: Host Connection lost and logged in as...SERVER??
Post by: Sincraft on April 27, 2009, 08:19:47 PM
Been having issues lately, just after installing a new mobo/cpu/memory

Pretty fat system now BUT, having some issues.

1. host connection lost (never had before)  Same os (xp pro sp3)
2. Logged in and when I speak it states my name is SERVER and there are only a handfull of folks on (all hitech), then a relog fixes.
3. Sound stutters.  Using Onboard sound vs sound card, using a sound pack that I previously used.  Using the AC889 sound chip from realtek (supposedly as good if not better than my old Audigy 2 zs)

Thoughts, feelings?

Something is interferring with the Internet connection.  Then again, you are on Comcast, so it would not surprise me if it was related to the routing problems with Savvis and Comcast.

If you are logged in as SERVER and the other folks are all hitech names, you sir are in OFFLINE mode.

All the Best...
