That would be strange.
Can't be...

There are 4 ships moored at the harbor, and yes they are the targets. They are listed as structures on the map and the hardness will be increased for structures to make it somewhat difficult to take out.

I thought we had some pretty good fights last night. What do you think? What might be improved in these Thursday night forays that Soda and RTR and B4Buster are working so hard to put up?

Well...I may be able to swing the beer and dancing shee..er i mean girls, but yer on yer own as far as the singing goes.
Know any good tunes?
:D

on a serious note, the setups are pretty good. i think with a little more participation, they could really draw some people into the arena. just my thoughts.

Keep doing it!!!! :rock Please, please don't stop!!! Give yourselves a pat on the back and just don't you guys burn out on us.
Maybe we can do an informal mail group of pictures, screenshots, upcoming event ideas, etc.
From someone who himself has been on and off with participation, I have found that AvA has improved my game. Flying the "Early" rides and with and against some class acts, has upped my awareness in other arenas as well.

I found it very lame that the 190A5 was disabled because the axis were using it to it strengths and dominating the allies with it.

Did I spell it wrong or something?
We used its firepower and speed to blast any red plane we saw then after we starting landing 6+ kill sorties it was removed.
I'm betting the allies were crying because they couldn't kill them and soda disabled it to give them their way.
-
No im sure you spelled it right, I just wouldnt describe it as that. I didnt see anyone on allies complaining, but then again I dont have sound so I may not of heard it. :D

I was flitting back and forth between phone calls, AvA, return of the spouse and so on, so I missed quite a lot. Assuming that Soda disabled the A5, please try to remember that we're still in the early stages of these Thursday night things and they're being tuned as we go.
So: what happened after the A5 was disabled? Did the Allies overwhelm the Axis?

-
It was after the thursday thing ended when the A5 was disabled.

what could make it better? Getting HTC to either fix the server/VoX issues, or lose that damnable TT map.

Hah!
Get Luca Brasi and Don Corleone to make him an offer he can't refuse...?

This I think is another thread Larry (you said this occurred after the Blitzkrieg). Since I wasn't there, but still want to put my 2 cents in..... :uhoh (searching for change). ..... From what I have heard from those who fly them, the 190 A5 is the best turning 190 out of the bunch. The balancing act that the CMs have been doing for a long time must really take some patience and trial and error. With the kinda recent addition of the P39, I have seen some "balance" improvement in AvA setups.
Pinging away at a decent armored plane with 303s or badly converged 50 cals just doesn't give you the killing power as the cannons available in just about all Axis rides. So, when you pick a side, be prepared to either hurl taters and take an oil hit occasionally or spray lead and visit the tower frequently (wondering, "what hit me?"). :huh
I have seen you personally land just as many kills in a P40 as in a 109, but even you have to admit, it was more of a chore. Even noting the obvious there are still many like me that enjoy flying Allied. :salute
-
yeah but i have to agree with larry, they had the 190A4 in tunisia, why wouldn't you have it in the blitzkrieg. so what if the allieds are at a disadvantage, thats their problem. The allieds had spitfires.
-
Heya Captain :salute
My understanding is that the A5 was included, as announced, for the Blitzkrieg. It was or may have been removed afterward. I have no idea of what other Axis aircraft that were available, but if it was an attempt to level the matchups, I have to give kudos to anyone that is on top of the arena to make an impact.
Larry, I believe was stating that the 190 A5 in capable hands, is a formidable opponent. I totally agree with him. I don't agree that our cartoon Allies, should be stuck with a fight that is unbalanced, during non event hours. In an event, more pilots and different tactics could curve the advantages / disadvantages. For the most part, during the AvA regular hours, a couple of pilots usually engage in dogfights. That is where you would like to see some really good match ups like the Wildcat and Zeke.
Spit V vs. 190 A5 is still a fun matchup, but ...... I would probably run out of fuel in it before I would catch a 190 A5 on fire.

You want unbalanced, try getting into a 109G2 and fighting a spit5 and a P38G at the same time. The A5 gave the axis a chance to E fight and not get outran by 38s then out turned by spits.
-
Actually, I would rather fly the 109 G2 than either Spit V or P38G, but that is because I have such poor judgment in either. At least with the G2 I stand a chance. This is just my perspective and I do see your point. Some guys do much more in the Spits and P38s than I could imagine. Then again, I normally don't fly either.
