One for the big gun freaks - I have posted an illustrated article on my website about the 57mm Molins gun fitted to the Mosquito "Tsetse". See:

Thanks Tony.
I think the Tsetse would be a fun addition, but I also think that it would see about as much use as the Hurricane MkIId. It might be best to simply do it as an additional gun option of the Mosquito MkVI that we have, after all the Tsetses were simply modified Series 2 FB.VIs.

Hi Tony
You seen the one at Hendon? Bit dark in there but you can physically get right next to it - it's situated beneath the Beaufighter there.

Another but darker :( http://www.btinternet.com/~nexx/Molins2.jpg (http://www.btinternet.com/~nexx/Molins2.jpg)

Hi Nexx,
there's nothing wrong with your photograph :-)

Just a little gamma factor adjustment.

How come there can't be a thread about an RAF aircraft without some Luftwaffe fan trying to trump it?
nklas, you realize that thing never saw service?
Next thread about an Me262 or He162 I'll post some nice pictures of F-16s. They have just as much relevance.

No, they just stuck it out more! The Molins gun was bigger and more powerful than the BK 5, but the British were more discreet about these things....

Dont make me post my Ju88 with a pak 40 pic..
karnak wont like it...

The RAF did plan to fit the Mosquito with a 3.7" (that's 94mm) high-velocity AA gun firing proximity-fuzed shells, but they probably thought it would look too vulgar.

I hope he doesn't realize it. Because it INDEED saw service, and was spotted several times by allied bombers.
The plane flew multiple OPERATIONAL sorties, flown by Willi Herget. You might want to re-check your sources, karnak :)

Hello...
Sorry Tony....
I do not mean planes guns with this :D
Sorry, yes sometimes I CAN be serios...but I do not like it :D

If we get that me262 we better get the YB40. I am sure the YB40 flew more sorties than some big gunned me262. Also, the P51H was in service along with the P47M at the end of the war. Just because they never actually engaged in combat doesnt mean we shouldnt have them. They were in operational squadrons. So was the F8F bearcat. I want that plane too. And the F7F tigercat. Luftwaffe shouldnt get all these experimental planes without the U.S. actually getting some planes that were in service at the end of the war.

fdiron,
I wouldn't worry about seeing that 262 in AH. I think the chances of that are somewhere between none and zero.

funny thing is Karnak, that nobody in this threat was asking for it ;).
It would be pretty useless here IMO.
