How many of you watch DR. House? For the people that do what do you think about kutner's death? Do you think he took his own life? Do you think it was murder? Also what do you think about house seeing Amber now that she is dead? Your thoughts.
PS. I love the show and watch every episode.

Mods or Skuzzy I have no idea what happened but could you delete the other posts please?

I love the show and watch it religiously. (Ironic statement from an atheist I guess...). I was honestly confused with Kutner's death. It's really hard to say, but I don't think he took his own life. The character just seemed too good at coping with negative situations. He seemed as if he had more wisdom than to do it. I do think the producers of the show took it WAAAAAY too far when they made the memorial website for Kutner.
-
Why they wrote it in as a suicide is beyond me. Killed in a car accident or beaten to a pulp by a bunch of NJ neo-nazis skinheads would have made more sense; but, when the actor gets a job in the Obama administration, gotta get out of the gig somehow.
Then they bring back Amber as House's conscience?
They haven't jumped the shark, have they?

When they made that website everybody thought he died in rl i knew it was bs but it was kinda funny see people freaking out before they read the story.

House went to sleep and when he woke up he is still seeing Amber. Is he losing his mind? We wont know till Monday. I wonder if hes gonna see kutner? :noid

House is going to wake up out of a coma caused by the bus accident that killed Amber and we are going to find out that every episode since the accident has been a dream and House has been hearing Ambers voice while in the coma and simply working them into his dreams. Kutner will really be dead but his death will be from different causes. Everything that has happend since the episode will be the result of house hearing the cast members voices and simply working them into his dreams.

Ouch, we are about one season behind here in Finland... I should not have read this thread...

Could never take house seriously after watching him in blackadder all those years :)

House is great but I didn't enjoy the last two seasons (4 and 5) as much, and they killed the only REALLY interesting member of the new team (although I'd definitely hit Thirteen). I haven't really watched since they moved him to Monday nights because my first love is Chuck. I do frequently watch the repeats on USA tho.
-
Its a suicide for sure. The producers nixed the idea of a drawn out thing or clues so it would be a case of no answers for the guy who knows all the answers.
I woulda never given up a career in that show for a spot in the white house.

House could pwn the swine flu.

I hardly ever watch the show, but I saw that ep at the GFs house. As soon as they had to go looking for him, I said "They're gonna find him dead.". She was freaking out when they found him and had to go online to see what was up after it was over. I went and grabbed another beer.
Does anyone sane really get that worked up over a TV show??

Amber is syphilis, a "clever" plot device to "humanize" House's invincible resilience and make what's her name (chief Hospital admin) useful/credible when they both really link up in a heart warming last stretch to the series conclusion. Everyone's gonna rub off on everyone in a giant love fest in the face of dramatic adversity. yadda yadda
Cutner died because he quit acting for Ob^H^H political activism. Whether it's suicide or murder is up in the air so the script hacks get some leeway later down the road.

You can catch it online at your leisure as well

Are they still a week behind airing it? I know hulu doesn't put up that Monday's episode until the FOLLOWING week, which is stupid.

The only character besides House I vaguely empathized with. I take it for granted that House is damaged, misanthropic and eccentric, but the other characters always seemed like card-board cut-outs to me, too "neat", and too miserable for people who ain't House. Someone's 2D idea of what a bunch of young, "hip" doctors are like, atrociously "normal" to act as foils for House. Cuttner was the only one not wallowing in personal life misery and who actually had, I don't know, a hobby maybe? An original thought? I was hoping he might actually be able to disagree with some of House's basic assumptions on a level more sophisticated than the other character's "Ah Gee House, that's not very nice!" pronouncements at some point.

Ahh but he killed himself so that idea is removed.
i dont see the others as being cut outs. Each has their own little issues just like everyone else in life.I think the cast is solid and this is one show I actually look forward to watching.

So, he killed himself in order to go kill his career.
Destructive fellow.

Had me puzzled too..

As a practicing Internal Medicine doc (same specialty as House), I honestly can't stand the show. Drives me nuts that they have the guy jump to conclusions before there's any information to go on....It'd be like having your CSI tech walk up to the scene, glance at it, and name the suspect without bothering to collect the evidence.
In the few episodes I've seen, about the only thing that rings true is the way the guy will sometimes sit the team down and brainstorm the differential diagnosis. What's supposed to happen then is that you order the right tests to discriminate between the likely choices, and you work your way to the right answer.
What House does isn't brilliance...it's called "premature closure" in the business. By making up your mind too early you start missing conflicting information, and you can really scr@# things up for your patient in short order.
But, it's TV, and I've got colleagues who really like it. Just does the fingernails-on-chalkboard thing to me...
-
Some of the stuff is pretty off, yep. The MRI thing where they debate whether it could or couldn't move some metal pellets in a patient..... IIRC you can't even walk into the room with the magnet off.
The character is good though, it's too bad they can't cut down on the creamy drama.
-
That is approximately how I feel when I watch a swordfight in movies or T.V., or how we much feel watching a dogfight...knowledge is detrimental to enjoyment of the boob tube I think.

Seasons 1 and 2 were the best, I still watch House but it has been replaced by The Office as my number one show to watch (although they air on different nights).
My favorite episode was "All In" in season 2.

Never saw this thread...
I love and watch house like a fanatic lol
Kal Penn's removal form the show pissed me off, he was the reason I started watching regularly. I haven't heard anything from him, or the show on why... which begs the question. was he looking to leave the show, or did they want to remove him from the show?
if you watched CSI when they killed off the one guy we all knew he was possibly going to jail in real life for drugs. he was out of the show no matter what, and they had to get rid of him.

How did you NOT see the hundreds of stories about it the day after it aired? Kal Penn got a job with the Obama administration.

Ahhh heck, your just jealous cause you can't solve complicated medical questions in an hour, and you don't have a babe like Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) wanting to jump your bones. She is worth watching the show for, even if you don't like the rest of it. :aok :D

Hehe Simaril is one of those docs that scoff at House's eccentric methods.
:P

Love it, loved it the first time I saw it.

WAT????
show me something he got the job....
if so )&#$)^#$)&^$# him, I lost all respect, and honestly harold and kumar II sucked dead rhino's balls

So... any of you see last night's house? wtf! This season has taken so many turn's it is crazy...
-
Yeah, quite the cliffhanger. But, big highlight, Jennifer Morrison looked fantastic again. :D
-
OK. I think the season is over for us all. What are you thoughts on how it ended? For some reason I knew it the whole time. Sucks now we have to wait forever for the new season. :cry
-
Well, I guess if House got not-messed-up they wouldn't really have a show.
I can't help but idly wonder it he'll ended up treated by the new doc on that "Mental" show in some sort of cross-over. I wouldn't put it past 'em...

Mira Sorvino's character in "Frozen" was a psychiatrist. If you believe Wikipedia they were originally going to make her a recurring character and I think Sorvino was interested in reprising her role, so maybe they'll be using this as a means to bring her back?

That would be interesting, that was a good episode, and I have always been a Mira fan.

I was thinking the same thing
