I hooked a small bass before and had another larger bass hit it. It didn't hit the lure or the hook so I didn't get a double like you though.
They get aggresive when they're hungry. I can see this happening.

Nope. Only time we can eat them is if they swallow the hook and are bleeding. He doesn't have a lot of bass in there so he wants them to spawn a few times before eating all the big ones. The catfish aren't so lucky. The only one he wont let you eat is "Jaws" (the biggest one in the pond).

Was fishing awhile back at Cuyamaca when I caught a small trout.  As I was reeling it in a big mouth bass swallowed the trout whole and I ended up with two fish for the price of one.  It was the largest bass I had caught at the time, recall it was shy under 7 pounds and managed to reel it in with an ultra light rod and reel on 2 pound test.

I have a similar story.  Largest small-mouth bass I've ever caught was with my friend.  He was reeling in a minow of a trout, and while doing so I was standing next to him and noticed a large fish approaching rapidly for the kill.  It was close to the shoreline and as the bass struck the trout I grabbed my friends rod and gave it a very sharp yank.  The bass took a big enough bite that the force of me yanking on the pole launched him onto the shore, where he coughed up the trout and I narrowly grabbed him before he got away.  We thanked our bait, let the little guy go, and took off for home with the bass for dinner.

Nice Larry.

In Georgetown, when the White Bass start spawning in the Spring, we'll go to the San Gabriel River at this old water crossing on the Lake's property where people used to live. There's a little narrow spot by the crossing, where if you throw a road runner jig into 'em, you're guaranteed to catch one every cast. My best was something like 20 White Bass, and maybe a black bass or two in under an hour. Before my dad could get them in the boat's livewell (we drive up to the riverbank, then beach our lil Bass Tracker), I'd have another. Greatest night I've ever had fishing regarding how much fun I've had. (I've had nights where me and my brother catch up to 30+ Crappie fishing at night on Lake Georgetown, that are all keepers)

Funny thing is that he just put 1500 minnows in the water exactly one week ago.

Really? If you truly believe that in my post I was trying to bypass the profanity filter by censoring a word with "**s" then I ask you remove me from these boards because I think that is just silly.

If you do not like the forum posting rules, and/or have no respect for them, then you can leave on your own.

I see no reason why you should be exempt from them.

If it's close to or during spawning time, those 1500 minnows don't last very long with some very hungary bass.  Does he ever think about using shad instead of minnows?

They just spawned around a month ago. I told him to get some shad before but he thinks they'd die before he even got home with them.

For those of you that don't know what the thread is about because you showed up after the OP was edited.

I was bass fishing in my Father's pond and while reeling a thrashing bass in another bass come in and hit the same lure the first was attached to. Long story short I ended up with two bass caught with one lure.

It's a 'Cotton Cordell Crazy Shad'. I found some at bass pro shop but they weren't the same color as the one I have.
