First off - let me admit that I haven't played the game for a couple of years - still watch the boards though.
I was just wondering if that same feeling of ... oh yeah.. this is the game still exists.
What would you say to bring those burnt out guys back... and do you want them?

The game while being different from AH1 is still really addicting and fun... I think the other word ive seen is people gettin obsessed with the game.... There are lots of things to learn and many of the great players still exist.. Still plenty of great fights out there to have fun in dont miss out :) :salute

get ready, this "old game" is about to get a major face lift, probably in way HTC hasn't even let up on yet.
For one, new terrain lighting & reflection's are now added.
Who knows whats next, maby particle effects & animations for pilots/ground troops.
Brighter days ahead for all.

I still get that thrill, though it may be only one fight of the night, I'll spend all night looking for it. After 5-10 minutes of knock down, dragged out, palm sweating, heart pounding action, I remember why I still send my money to HTC :aok

Fugitive - that's kinda of the point.
You now feel happy if you get one good fight in an entire evening's flying.
Didn't used to be that way.

Games are never what they use to be expecially to vets. All you can do is log on and have some fun plenty of arenas and planes to choose from :salute

get in a panzer, change your skin to a dark greenish one and spawn out to an enemy base.
get in amongst the hedge rows and use patience and stealth and try to stay alive as long as you can.
This is fun as long as the planes dont show up and bomb you! spawn in on an ememy v base is best for this tactic.

I say come back, the game has probaly changed in many ways for you, i know that when i get bored or there is fighting at my house i come play Aces High, helps me relax.

For perspective - my first month summarized:
1st day: wow am flying a plane from my childhood dreams, and so many to chose from...
2nd day: omfg there are people talking and what they say effects what I see - time to get a microphone..
3rd day: "helllo"
4th day: have been taken under a wing of some more experienced players - shown the ropes.
3rd week: Havn't had time to talk - been having too much fun.
N.B. will be back to try out the new gpx update - pretty confidant others will too

Ello Darkish me ol fruit...you still getting pished?
The thing is there are many 1 turn 1 kill newbies to be had. The more experience you have the easier they (newbies) fall so's to speak. However, you will get your arse kicked when ganged by a bunch of ankle snappers or cherried at the hard end of a 1v3 by the 4th BnZer. Its harder to find guys that don't make mistakes when the majority do.

I'm at the point where I'll play here & there, not nearly as often as I used to, and it shows in my lack of ability in a fighter plane. Too many other fun things to do in the real world first, then I'll play AH.
