Post by: Brooke on May 01, 2009, 01:57:12 AM
Frame 4 (the last frame) of the scenario "Tunisia:  Dawn of Battle" is tomorrow (Saturday, May 2).

Come get your war on in North Africa!

All are welcome to play.  Please show up at or before 3 pm Eastern time in Special Events Arena II.

Here is a time converter:  http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?year=2009&month=5&day=2&hour=15&min=0&sec=0&p1=179&p2=136

It's the Luftwaffe vs. the US 12th Air Force and the Desert Air Force in the air, and Rommel's vs. Montgomery's and Patton's tank forces on the ground.  More information is here:  http://ahevents.org/pacific-theatre/current-or-next-scenario-2.html

No they don't!  I had a big sign painted on my Ju 88 saying "Don't shoot me", and they went ahead and did it anyway.  My Oberstleutnant implied that it is because the allies have trouble reading, but I think that it is a result of general sour disposition.  This is why we must liberate North Africa -- and so that we can spread the blessings of good German beer.

Hey, you invaded legal Allied airspace.   :furious
We were only firing a warning shot across your nose trying to force you out of our soverign airspace, but nooooo, you took it the wrong way and started firing back.

What did you want us to do? Let you bomb innocent civilians?
 I don't think so!

So that is why we shot you down. :P

Hmm.  I suppose an answer of "yes" doesn't help my case.

Well, for frame 4, I put a bumper sticker on my Ju 88:  "Hey, P-39's and P-40's -- leave some for the other guys!"
