Right on :)
I diged during a month in my Books to find a HARD name that plane and found this ... among 4 super hard :D

One question, is it civilian or military. I'm guessing its civilian, but that narrows the search just a little. :)
I'm guessing its one of the 30's or 50's "Aircraft for the common man, and will replace cars" type of planes.

straffo how close to the actual omaha beach do u live and are the german bunkers still there and stuff
p.s i know this has nothing to do with that ugly american plane im just curious

I'm at about 200 Km of the landing beachs of D-Day and there is lot of war artifact everywere in Normandie from Bunker, wreck to Graveyard.
The most impressive are the allied Graveyards ,they are in general superb but IMO there is not enought "emotion" in this it's to spectacular for me (not that I don't respect the fallen but more because of the aesthetic choice done by the graveyard architect).
The german one are another "taste" I allways become emotional looking at a steel plate of 15"*15" with 4 names engraved on it.
And on this 4 name there is chance you have 2 teenagers and 2 grandfathers :( often you have 2 guys between 13/17 and 2 others 50/60.
sorry for my bad english.

it's the sheer size that makes them 'emotional' for me ; some time back i visited Margraten in Holland and i had a lump in my troath and wet eyes during the entire visit. so many graves ...

I hope not to be misunderstood (as in english I often sound either rude or harsh)
My itend was not to say : I've no emotion when in an allied graveyard but more that it's different.
But in the graveyard of La Cambe I've a complete different feeling than in the allied one.
Just look with some fog the impression is more terrible:
La Cambe

US graveyard of COLLEVILLE sur MER

In both case there is emotion but a complete different feeling.
