OMG,,I was at work today thinking I needed to start an I AM DYING FOR AN UPDATE thread..

Still disbelieving what you see you close the web page at the speed of light and open the game..

try to log in.. "your current version is out of date" OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!!!!

You click the update button... like the other 9 million people have .. downloading at 12k/sec

In utter shock.. your stand.. panicking... its coming.. its actually downloading RIGHT NOW!!

You start running in circles.. watching the progress bar..

5 min later, you collapse in a heap on the floor.. a small trickle of blood runs from your ear..

You wake up in the hospital... WHERE IS MY LAPTOP!!!!!!!!!

Post by: BaldEagl on May 07, 2009, 07:49:54 AM: I was thinking last night it was October, almost 7 months ago, that they announced they were going to shelve TOD and put all their energy into updating the current game.

Maybe this terrain update is a HUGE project but I wish they'd throw a bone out along the way like a new AC or two to keep everyone (me) happy.

Really, at this point, updates are slower than they were while they were supposedly working on TOD but I'm down to only playing a few hours a week now so I guess it really doesn't matter.

That's what I did when the Spitfire patch was released. :O apart from the last two.

Thing is this update looks like it's going to be massive, with a new terrain, new water, more than likely a few new birds and who knows what else as far as game play updates incorporated from TOD.

I've been itching for the release for a while now, and i'm confident that when it does, it'll have been worth the wait.

You act like 12 kb/sec is a bad thing. Are you used to that new-fangled 1 mb/sec stuff? 'Cuz we top out at 40 kb/s over here in Not Texas.

Long weekend. Travel time. Washington and Lincoln's birthdays aren't on President's Day either. Easter? It moves? Thanksgiving? Next thing you know, Fourth of July will be the first Friday in July every year.
