Its seems like in America anyway customer service is no where near what it use to be... I have figured out why the federal goverment took over Chevy seems like they have no clue in what they are doing at all... The definatly have poor customer service and give nothing but a run around to give them their money... If anybody knows of any other company that is retarded and has poor customer service skills please post them or if you have anything to add feel free either way im just blowing off a lot of steam. :salute

Yeah AT&T, never seen a company run so bellybutton backwards when it comes to customer service, switched from Comcast to them for the phone a few months ago, after 2 months I went right back to Comcast.

Customer Service starts as directives from the top shelf to make sure that folks are taken care of. If the bottom shelf guys on the customer service line aren't able to help you, they are indeed going to sound like blithering idiots. They ain't the ones who says "the buck stops here" though.

I've avoided the big box hardware stores because I can't find anything there. But the pricing lures me back.
Lately, I've done a couple of small projects around the house. Both Lowes and Home Depot have obviously gone out of their way to improve service. Employees at both stores made sure I found what I needed quickly.
I'm impressed that the response to an economy that is punishing them is to make my shopping easier. I hope they both flourish.
HONK!

In my opinion customer service call centers are nothing more than tools to discourage a consumer from getting some type of help they need..
Often because there is really no help available or those that are supposed to provide the help are not capable of doing their job..
I've worked in a few call centers in my day and was told flat out that my job to was prevent callers from getting to the next tier..
I was told to put callers in que for the next tier after going through an outrageous amount of prerequisites.. The calls in the "Que" basically led to nowhere
and callers were eventually dropped after being on hold for 1/2 hour. The company was eventually investigated by the Attorney General and closed down..
I realize not all call centers are like this.. But there are a few that I can name off the top of my head that I would not waste my time even calling...

One of them Charter?

charter sucks, bottom line.

AT&T and Comcast are both extremely poor performers.

One of them Charter?
No, but I did work for Society before they were Key and all they did was set you up for failure to absolve any blame that looks in management's direction..
Passing the buck, so to speak.. I find most corporations that I have worked for operate in this way..
But I think Level Propane took the cake.. They were a propane provider much like Amerigas or Crystal Flash serving propane to rural customers that
didn't have natural gas lines in their areas.. They are a nightmare of a company, ripping of and screwing as many people as they could....
Their contracts were written in such a way that you could not sue them for anything unless you actually lived in the same city as the
corporate office in Westlake, Ohio.. They delivered propane all over the country and NO ONE in Westlake Ohio uses propane in place
natural gas.. So, in essence, you could not legally sue them.. The Attorney General got a hold of Level and pretty much shut them down
until Amerigas bought them out, which was a HUGE mistake for them...

Welcome to America, where customer service is a fantasy and your needs aren't going to be given half a rats crack.
True or False. I choose true.

charter sucks, bottom line.
I've never had a problem with Charter. In fact when I was laid off in Feb of 08 I contacted them about changing my service
to reduce my monthly costs and the rep worked out a way for me to keep my current service level while paying a special promo rate for an entire year until I got back on my feet.
Now Chrysler financial is a totally different story, I've filed several complaints about their collection practices. While discussing my employment situation with one of their reps (I'm still unemployed) he calmly stated "well, I have a job." At that point I lost it. Nothing like being kicked while you're down. I've always been a Mopar man (I know, Move Over People Are Racing) After my experience with them I'll never purchase another.

I had a little online chat session with a Dell representative the other day. My roomate has a Dell that has a PCI-E slot, and I happen to have a spare card floating around that would do her alot more good than the onboard she's stuck with. She's not really computer savvy so I did all the talking. Was actually quite impressed with the level of support I received. Basically I wanted to know why the heck they would have a PCI-E slot on the motherboard, but no 6-pin connection from the stock power supply. Apparently putting a new power supply into a Dell voids their warranty(also have a spare PSU kicking around I don't use). Was kind of taken aback by that, but at least the guy had enough knowledge(or found the right flash cards) to suggest a few PCI-E graphics cards that don't require an external power source(frankly, I wasn't aware there were any). Basically by the end of the conversation I would've shaken the guy/gal's hand by the time we were done.
And yeah, Charter is the last place you ever want to have to call for any sort of support. I called once to inquire about my once-crappy connection to the AH2 servers and the guy spent more time trying to sell me more crap, and I never had my question answered. Luckily since moving the connection is now crystal clear, couldn't tell you why, but Charter wouldn't even try to tell me why. Now to just get my account back up and running come payday...

My Uncle came to town a few months back to see my grandpa in the hospital. Conversation goes like this.
Uncle: Take me to United hospital please.
Driver: There! (Speaks poor English, Points to airport terminal)
Uncle: No, that's the airport I want the United hospital.
Driver: There! (points to Airport)
Uncle: Alright.(Opens paper and tells where the hospital is as the driver types it in the GPS)
Driver: Ohhhhh Fridley!(Hospital located in Fridley MN)
Uncle: Yea ok.
Driver charged him 100$ for 5 miles. :O :huh  :cry

charter sucks, bottom line.
I've had mixed results with them. Some really bad, some not so much. I generally move around a bit and I generally keep coming back to them for their internet for their price/bandwidth (at least at the promo level). Last year I had ATT and had many issues.
TV? I'll stick to Dish.
