Anyone else have a Wii that really understands it?
Trying to figure out how to use my wifes new Wii to read *.htm files.
I have over 4,000 full length books in digital format, that I can convert to .htm files.
Would love to be able to read them on the Wii, but I have as of yet been unable to figure out how.
Anyone have any ideas?
Putting them on a thumb drive and plugging it in the back didn't get me anywhere.

I couldn't even figure out how to play games on the thing, let alone all the computer stuff it does. My ex could surf the 'net and everything on it, but I couldn' figure it out at all. Don't like that wand thing.
Did you try googling how to do that? Theres got to be a walkthrough or forum thread on it somewhere.

I would guess you would have to use the internet browser to open the htm files from the thumbdrive/sd card, but I would have no idea as to the address it would be.....

Ghosth,
I did a little checking and found this, in the red text below, on a thread in the Wii support forums. I don't know how knowledgeable this person is but maybe he is wrong or someone has found a "work around" solution.
The wii system software has no functionality to read from a USB pen drive.
Currently the only uses for the USB ports are the LAN adapter, a standard USB keyboard (Which can be used to enter text on the wii message board, any standard Wii channel or system menu, and the Internet Channel) and unauthorized third-party devices like cooling fans and such that you don't really need unless your wii is situated in a small oven.
Sorry,

Well that would explain why it didn't work. :)
Keyboard eh, hmmm if I surfed the net on it a lot that might be tempting.
