I recently downloaded warhammer online but my computer is painfully slow. I know its not my internet connection because even in the menu, the framerate is extremely low.
I updated my video driver but that only worked a little bit. I think I just need a new graphics card. However, when I play guild wars (A much more graphically demanding game IMO) my computer runs like a charm.
So whats up?

Whats your memory, processor, OS?
-
How do I check those...
Sorry, I'm not computer smart by any means.
-
XP or Vista?
-
2048 MB of memory, processor is AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual-Core Processor 5000+, Windows Vista.

500gb of memory, processor is AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual-Core Processor 5000+, Windows Vista.
I think you gave your hard drive size. Memory would be RAM, which would be more like 1 gig.
-
Oh, my mistake. 2048GB of memory is what it says. Fixed

I have the same PC, but with XP. How many processes do you have running?

2048GB is 2 terabytes.....I'm thinking you don't have that much memory....HD maybe.
You probably have 2 gig of memory

At this exact moment, with nothing but Firefox open, 81... all of which do absolutely nothing... I think. The only ones actually using CPU are dwm.exe, firefox.exe, and task manager.
Want me to delete some?
<<Edit>> I deleted all the ones I thought I didn't need... luckily I dont think I messed anything up... The ones I have left are csrss.exe, dwm.exe,explorer.exe(which I learned the hard way never to delete),firefox.exe, rundll32.exe, schtasks.exe, taskeng.exe, taskmgr.exe, winlogon.exe
Those are the ones that are showing, but I still have 58 processes up... with only 9 visible.
Still no noticeable difference.
-
58 is still a lot of processes. Granted its vista.
But in XP I typically get to low 20's before I consider myself set and ready to fly.

What is your video card?

My video card is NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE...

On-board video?
-
That's the one it came with... if thats what you mean.
-
Still don't know what the problem is... :(
-
That's onboard video, not to mention a very POOR video chipset. The problem with onboard video is that it takes its memory from your RAM and uses your processor cycles to generate any images on the screen. This can really slow down the system and can cause symptoms similar to the ones you were describing.
You might want to buy another video card knowing if you have an open slot in your computer for it and knowing that your power-supply unit will support it.
-
How can I check my power supply? I looked on the computer but I didn't find anything.

I suggest you head into the proper forum (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/board,18.0.html) and ask about everything you need to do to upgrade video cards and general practice while inside the case there. That or spend time reading articles to better familiarize yourself with PC maintenance.
