Subject says it all, and it needs to happen fast.

Taking my CM hat off, I'm speaking as a 7+ year participant of FSO so don't take what follows as an official CM response, just a pissed off players perspective
From the rules page on ahevents.org about FSO:
- When it is that squads turn to provide a Frame CiC in Squad Operations and they are unable, then the squadron must find a replacement Frame CiC or risk being removed from Squad Operations.
I guess we'll be short an Allied squad starting this week also. If you sign-up, you've agreed to all the rules regarding the FSO event, that includes doing the duties as CiC when given them. This rash of not doing your responsibility is going to stop or FSO will have to stop. Knowing the effort a lot of people put into the event, I'm guessing it will be the former and not the latter. I'd recommend all squads re-evaluate their personal commitment to the event and its rules before signing up for next month's event.

Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

The AK's will volunteer. Expect them to be late and not very pretty. ETA is noon Friday.
-
I am frame 3 CIC for the allies. Don't worry , I will be there, and orders will be out on time, for frame 3.. :salute
Big :salute to the AK's.... :aok
-
Thanks for stepping up again, WxMan.
-
Confirm AKs then, you have the thanks of the FSO Community, appreciate that very much. We are working on putting a stop to any more of this kind of thing.
-
:salute AKs from an Axis participant.
wasn't that same squad, the one that failed FSO this week, suspended for cheating in FSO about a year ago?
-
Don't know about what you posted or care but you left out the part of how they are stepping up to the plate so that you can fly this Friday night with little or no warning. A thank you would probably be better words.
:salute

I saluted the AKs in my original post.
My second sentence was regarding the 357th Death Dragons that failed to do their duty. NOT the AKs, who always take care of business. Sorry for any confusion.

WAY TO GO, Arabian Knights :aok
Thank you very much :rock

Thanks AK's! :aok :salute

:salute WxMan. I appreciate your effort.
If I read this right, 880 SQD is not going to be able to fly this FSO? I have a problem with the penalty for Warloc and his squad if this is in fact correct.
I have played in FSO's from the beginning and have no problem with the rules. But to ban the squad from participating because they needed a replacement CiC is wrong.
I believe he has satisfied the rule by getting someone to cover him. There is no reason to give the squad such a stiff penalty.
I have known Warloc and his squad for many years and they live for FSO.
Please reevaluate the decision if in fact you intend to remove this squad from this FSO.
I hope I am wrong about this and its just a misunderstanding, if it is the case, please disregard this post.

Did he find a replacement? It looks to me like Staff had to post a plea for someone to step up and fill the gap. Which in my mind is different then someone saying, "I can't do it unfortunately. But I got this guy to fill the void." Looks to me like all that happened was, "I can't do it."
-
I see I have reacted before I fully understood the situation, my apologies.
Warloc, in his capacity as CM Staff was getting a replacement for someone else......
Ignore my other post.
Sorry for the confusion.

As AK squadron CO, my public appreciation goes out to Wxman and Kuya for picking this up at such a late date.
FSO is to much of a main stay for the entire AH community, and with so many people looking forward to these events (some only come on for fridays), they stepped up again to make sure that a small matter such as this doesn't stop such a anticipated event and are happy to do so.
-
And my appreciation and that of the FSO CM team go out to the Arabian Knights for once again stepping up with short notice and making it possible for the event to go on
:aok :salute
-
AK's haven't missed a FSO since FSO started. We not gonna start now by something as stupid as this.
-
Np Joker, I should have been clearer in the initial post as to what the exact problem was. It could be misunderstood now that I read it again.
In any case looks like its all covered now.

Thanks for all the support there everyone. :salute I'm glad to help out when there's a short notice call to duty. It just happened to coincide when I had the available free time to volunteer. And of course alot goes to AKWxman to helping with the final touches. :salute
Personally to me, the FSO is the best part of the Aces High community outside the MA's where we fly with our buddies both in squads and among the three countries. I would like to see the FSO community grow to even larger sides.
psst! All Allied pilot's beer is on the house courtesy of AK's! This invitation is extended to Axis pilots who bravely gets shot down by Allied pilots. :D

Hmmm... I'm going to have to weigh that offer against my desire to get my 5th FSO kill... Ace... Beer... Ace... Beer...
It's gonna be a close call! :D
Best of luck to all... ((except the guy that gets behind me, bad luck to him))

For years the AKs have been a well known and respected part of the AH Community.
Way back when Shamus and I used to fly squad events with the AKs' when Curly and Nimitz participated.
Weatherman well done! I would expect no less from such a longtime classy part of the AH Community.
