If I was press secretary and CBS' Bill Plante not only failed to silence his cellphone BUT ACTUALLY ANSWERED THE CALL DURING A PRESS CONFERENCE I would ban him from the room for a week. This is unprofessional beyond comprehension.

I didn't like or believe him either. Honesty and integrity have not been hallmarks of the media in many decades, if they ever really were. I don't think Cronkite was much better than or different from Rather.

Any reporter that goes into any press conference with his cell phone on is a moron. In yesterday's live WH press conference TWO reporters left their phones on.

VERY unprofessional.

I've watched BBC World News since I realized that I got it, it's a lot more interesting than US news, which seems to be mostly pundits talking about the same boring trivial politics 24 hours a day. Can't stand CNN, MSNBC or FOX, all a bunch of stupidly polarized politics.
There's so much more going on in the world that I never knew about before.

I haven't encountered this yet. I don't go to movies during peak times anymore. But anyhow, do you make them eat the phone?
