The Ideal Formation Flypast. What would you like to be flying in it?
check out this link.

It can't get any better than this, the roar of the awesome Vulcan with the background throb of the Lancs beautifull V12 Merlins. Hard to believe they came out of the same factory only twenty odd years apart. It sends a chill down the spine to think that the Lancaster did what it was designed to do in WW 2. Thank god that the Vulcan never had to do the same, ie good night Moscow - although it did a pretty good job of messing up Port Stanley's runway!
Just try and better that !!!!!!!!!!

just in case you think you can watch this link first.

I never get tired of watching that clip. :aok

I'd rather just see the Lanc without the flying hairdryer.

definite coolness.
i got to see the collings foundations b17, and b25 come into kissimmee gateway airport, escorted by 2 ponys, and a spitfire. the fighters did a midfield break off, and landed ahead of the 17.....was frakkin beautiful sight though./

I Have heard quite alot about the Collings Foundation here in the U.K and its apparent that they are building quite a reputation of bieng able to put on one hell of an Airshow.
Apparentlly one of there aircraft is a 3 Quarter scale Ju-87 Stuka Replica.

The ideal flyby would be a spitfire, Thunderbolt and Hellcat led by a Mosquito flying inverted on one engine. Heck, you can ditch the other planes and just send the Mosquito.
-
Lol @ the inverted Mosquito :lol :aok
A diamond-formation of RV-8's going by the tower, now that would be awesome!
Just imagine the roar of all those tiny engines...
