Title: Unusual
Post by: RedTeck on May 16, 2009, 06:31:01 PM
Twice, I get over top of the same CV group, start to roll in, and a freeze followed by Windows saying "AH has stopped responding." Seems kinda strange to have it happen twice in a row, over the same CV group. I flew over a friendly CV on the way to the NME CV so I don't think its a graphics issue related to the CV group. Could something with the auto-ack "puffs" be causing a problem? I have notice a lot more problem with "AH not responding" this month. I even reinstalled to see if something had become corrupted. Was anything changed this month? Any old skins rotated back in maybe?

Opened up AH again right after last post and it has been almost 4 hours without a problem. What's the chance just one CV group could be causing a problem?

Are you using custom sounds?  Maybe it's the puffy ack sound...

Neg, Since I reinstalled I haven't put the sounds back in. Like I've said I've had the recent outbreak of "AH has stopped responding" msgs and have been piece-mealing it. I reinstalled about 3 days ago and played it as it came. Last night when I went to work I started downloading skins (through the game), and so far its just been that problem around the cv group. FYI that was LW Orange, TAGMA, cv group attacking P63 from the south about 2 min before first post.

Re-installing the game does not remove any custom sounds you may have installed, unless you physically removed the "Aces High II" folder, before you re-installed the game.

I deleted the whole game directory, save for films and screenshots, when I was having problems with USB mouse last week. Played quite a bit yesterday without problems, I'll just put it in the "Who Knows?" column.

Might try uninstalling your sound card cleaning out all existing sound drivers and then reinstalling the sound card.  :aok
