Title: Some day you too can learn to land a P38 like me...
Post by: Guppy35 on May 22, 2009, 03:17:31 AM
...I haven't lost my touch.  SAPP landing refresher course.

Darn hedges are tough in this game.  No clue where all the parts went either.  Must be scavangers following my 38 around.

I don't get it....you came in no eng, misjudged hedgerow and barely made a ditched landing. Kinda seems every day avoidance to me ....but I do like seeing you make mistakes like everyone else  :lol

Ya'll think this is funny, but right now crew chiefs up in heaven are making the rain with tears for your transgressions.

one day i hope HTC pays them back, by having you spawn with a inoperable p-38 or two with little pink sticky notes saying "I told you that was the last time, so i hope you enjoy your flight. - Your crew chief". :rock :salute

Joking aside, very nice.

Lmao, Dan, every time you post one of these, you crack me up.

Barko, anytime you want to take your 38 up against the decent sticks, let me know so I can watch. That said, 25 isnt shabby at all.

Stop vulching and or rearming time and time again  :aok

If you're actually fighting, there is no way to accumulate that many kills in PJ without geeking it up a bit, unless your soul, akak, del or cork! Hmm, I take that back, cork is kinda "goofball" like me and would never have the patience to accumulate that many scalps :D

Shreck he definately rearmed but he could have been flying with a wingman, headhunters used to piss me off in the MA because you would get on one and the other guy comes right in behind you :salute

I don't think Barko has ever been in the "HeadHunters", although he has been in a lot of squads. I know his 38 flying isn't that good, but now we know his "Photoshop" skills are very good.   :D

Probably 99% of those kills are GVs.  If you look at his stats, he doesn't have all that many kills against planes in the P-38J.  Actually, it seems that he really doesn't fly it all that much, the last tour is the only one where he's got over a dozen flights in the Lightning.

Guppy, that was terrible. No broken props, and no oil damage. I'm not sure, but it looks like you didn't have a pilot wound to me.

Barko, the 80th is willing to pay for lessons and your time in the TA with us. We're in the process of collecting funds.

Mensa is perfect for his title ;) .

My sole purpose in the squad is to improve morale.  Most of the time this is accomplished by being the butt of many a joke.

F :)

Well I was flying the J as it was a SAPP night and the 474th skin was the bird of choice.  The J just isn't fair like the G. I can actually get away sometimes.   I was out of fuel so the fact that I got a fire anyway with the crash is worth extra points :)

Naaa mine would be burning prior to the hedges. I only use high quality charcoal in my BBQ pit downstairs in my 38. It lites easily so I don't have to use that dangerous charcoal liter. The problem comes in when I accidently spill some cuervo when making margaritas in the blender that is upstairs. Boy that stuff ignites fast.

Picture was not Photoshopped in anyway. I got the Origonal Screen shots too.

As for Ack-Ack's Post, He's Right, I Havent been in the 38 that often this tour now that i'm in a P-47 Squad.  And yes, Some were Ground Vehicle Kills and some were from a Noob Wanna-be-uber-player Diving his JU-87 On a CV. I killed him about 10 times. So yea, they wernt real fights, i Just got Lucky.  :)
