Any idea how common the dive brake was?

57mm Mossie...
Was it used in combat to make it eligible to be used in the game?
Don't feel like looking it up and I know some people love to look things up.
More tank busters, the better.

Yes, 57mm was used in combat, vs surface craft and subs, not against tanks. Limited production, I think 27 from memory, I need to buy Alex Smart's book.
Dive brake was experimental.
I also owe Karnak a post or two.

Nonexistent.
That was a concept for a airbrake (not dive brake) as the RAF was concerned that the very streamlined Mosquito would have trouble slowing down to settle in behind its target. However, they found that the landing gear could be lowered for the same effect (don't try this in AH) and so the idea was abandoned.

And one Ju88 fighter that had an engine blown off by the 57mm gun.

A Tsetse was also likely responsible for the destruction of a 190 over Norway, don't have details to hand.

WWW.ww2incolor.com is a great sorce of info. Your right speed break was a prototype, but 57mm was used for surface vessels and ground targets. Most of all I would like to see cockpit update.
