Claim Jumpers made what we thought was going to be a out and out battle for the 68th tonight a pretty clear path. Excellent communications through out and managed to keep us as clear as could be expected through 2 passes on each target. Truly a stand up squad.  :rock :salute

353rd FG got the call from 68th to help them out.  68woolly gave me location of where they are at, alt and what cons.  We came in high, pounced on the 109 and 190s and pushed them to the deck.  Unfortunate i crashed in the water, but we got some of you guys home.

353rd was flying at near NOE at 5k on the way to A65 and were spotted by a couple of 109 and 190's.  They were able to scamble us enough to screw up our attack run. 14 planes attacked and only 2 targets hit.  Defenders did their job well.   :salute

Sorry 353rd, You guys were great and certainly saved our bacon on our way home. 68Wooley let me know that help was on the way but I had a some 109's and 190's already making their passes. Having battled our way out of A68 most of us were low on ammo. ImaDot was in a gunner position most of the frame and kept swatting those pesky Axis away.  :salute

No problem guys.  We are glad that we came in and jump them axis.  i am sure they realized that they where in trouble when we came in high and behind.

Yeah I pretty much blow as a jug pilot...my poor ole P47 lasted about 3 minutes into our first encounter with baddies who had 5-10k alt on us.  Hard to call it quits in FSO after only a half-hour.  Always willing to help out the green guys if I can.
