Title: Anyone know Japanese??
Post by: Latrobe on May 23, 2009, 11:49:14 AM: If you ever played Call of Duty: World at War, then you may have heard about an easter egg on the second misson "Little Resistance" where you can get the Ray Gun from Nazi Zombie. If you step into the correct mortar holes then wait a few seconds, an weird voice will start to talk, and statues will rise from the ground. I've always wondered what the voice said, but the people at Treyarch reversed the voice, and added an echo to it. I was able to reverse it back, and get rid of the echo enough so I could hear the voice, but it's all in Japanese!

Could someone translate this into english? Maybe there's an easter egg in and easter egg :) ! Here's a video of the easter egg being done.

(If the voice isn't actually Japanese, and just a bunch of nothing then...oops :D sounds Japanese to me!)

Post by: Scherf on May 24, 2009, 05:54:19 AM: Too garbled for me - but I get pretty much the same out of it, though I also get "kurikaesu", which means repeat, so the second chunk should be same as the first.

I also get "teki-gun wo" out of it. Whatever he wants you to do, he wants you to do it to the enemy army.

There's one bit in particular which is less garbled than the others.

"Kurikaesu. Shirei-(garbled) wo shusseyo, (garbled) teki-gun wo."

Kurikeisu = I repeat
Shirei = command
wo = (indicates the object of the sentence)
shusseyo = give him a nobleman's death. (Shussuru = to die [used for noblemen], seyo = do it!)

teki = enemy
gun = army

I'm more certain about the "Shirei-(garbled) wo shusseyo" than I am about the "(garbled) teki-gun wo."

There's a strong chance, of course, that I'm an idiot and this is actually Korean.
