i bought trackir4 last week and jumped right into the 5.beta something software. just now i thought i would give 4.1 a whirl.
4.1 does a waaay better job smoothing out movements then 5.beta does. i can set smoothing to 15 on 4.1 and get better results than setting 80 on 5.beta. it's actually smooth with 4.1 and still jittery with 5.beta.
i think natural point is trying to drive customers to get their trackir5 hardware, but that's just the conspiracist in me.
maybe i'll give 5 a try when it goes final, but for now i would say after trying both out and playing with the smoothness sensitivity bar, 4.1 gets a 7/10 and the 5.beta gets 3/10.
