Post by: falcon23 on May 25, 2009, 02:31:25 PM
I started AH..I then opened up my proccess graph after windows keying out,and it shoed it running but my CPU was at 50%...I*s this because I have a cd2???

Also I have 30 items running..I seem to recall skuzzy saying that AH should use about 100% of CPU...

Any chance you changed the affinity for the program?

the game will only use 100% when you have the game up.  It will not use 100% when you "Key out" to check.

If you get the program Process Explorer from SysInternals (actually, Microsoft distributes it) you can pull up System Information window which gives a time plot of CPU usage.  Run it in the background during AH use then alt-tab out and you can see the CPU usage drop on the plot at the time you alt-tabbed.  On my computer, however, AH never uses more than 70% of total CPU time while AH has the screen.

You can also start the game, minimize it (ALT-TAB), then check the game's CPU usage. It should be at 99 to 100%. In a dual-core computer system, due to the way Microsoft displays CPU usage, the game should be at 50% CPU utilization without any deviation. -skuzzy
