Title: New Score Category: Perks earned
Post by: BnZs on May 25, 2009, 05:40:12 PM
Perks earned/death, Perks/sortie, or perhaps best, Perks/time.

Would give a real reward to flying high-ENY low-performance rides other than the perks, which a lot of people don't care about.

However, the current ENY system would have to be adjusted to make sure the high ENY rides really are the more disadvantageous ones and vis versa, as is currently *not* the case with the ENY system.

I like the idea of being able to find out such stats.........  But adding it to the scoring system would actually increase the ease of using the system structure to increase rank wrongly.

For that, I would say no.  But if it could be including in the stats page, without affecting score, IT WOULD BE GREAT!!!

How would getting a higher score by doing the same things in a lower-performance plane be "wrong"?

Ok, you're really right in the PM.  This is a good idea.
+1

One it would encourage would be a horde of 190s hovering over bases, picking planes that are low and slow.  Oh wait...  We have a ton of that already.  Carry on.   :salute

The 190 A-8 could quite possibly use a lowered ENY number.

Hopefully the effect (with properly adjusted ENY) numbers would be to get people vulching in slower, less maneuverable, and less heavily-armed planes. :devil

How would that be what it'd encourage?

That would be odd...if we are going to have those messages, it should go ahead and just count kills...people need *some* reason to keep on flying good planes after all. :D

LOL....... :lol

And make it "BnZs landed x perks." :aok

Point is...........    pacerr lands 9 kills in a Tempest & "you" land 9 kills in an A8..... One right after another.....  Based on just those 2 facts.... Who flew better?  Who should be considered better for that sortie?

It makes perfect sense to add a scoring aspect based on eny.
