Blue Book $9,905.00 in Excellent condition....

"Excellent" condition means that the vehicle looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. This vehicle has never had any paint or body work and is free of rust. The vehicle has a clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection. The engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects. The vehicle also has complete and verifiable service records. Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category.

Looks good after engine cleanup. If there are no leaks. I'm figuring he has all his service records.

Probably does, I'll check with him.  This is his 'asking' price too...  I know you're near Houston Shuffler, please let your friends and family know if they're into vettes.  :aok

It kind of passed through my mind to get this for my Daughter who is graduating. She has her heart set on a new camaro. I don't think she'd mind a vette but I talked myself out of it as the whole idea of the camaro is a new car. She currently has a 40 year aniiversary 2004 mustang. The vette would save me about 20k.

She'll be going to A&M in the fall. I don't want to be having break downs and such with her up there.

That vette is totally worth that price and somebody should jump on it. Try putting it up on craigslist and see what it gets. I would take it but I don't have the money right now. My LS7 firebird would beat that thing in 2nd gear anyways. :)

My first car was an 83 Fairmont, had it painted black, that thing was a boat, I plowed into the rear end of an Escort once, totaled the Escort, not even a scratch on my Fairmont.

Simple Green works wonders in cleaning things. Very, very strong and biodegradable. Get some interior and tire shine, clean it up real good, and it will sell fast.

@CAP - theres no way a fairmont could touch my firevette. ;)

she should run in the low 12's.

the mustang that donated its entire drivetrain was running 12.2's at 117 mph, through cats, mufflers and full exhaust.  :D :rofl

Honestly, for around 10G's I'd rather find an '01 or '02 Z28 or SS.  But that's just me.

Bmathis, try Ls1tech.com. The Texas section is loaded with people from Houston but you will also get people from all over the world a chance to view. Someone might like it as a daily driver.

Just looking at it the car reminds me of Great White, use to be the name of a white C4 that destroyed everyone into street racing down here till the LSX engines came out.

I told him that, but he said If "I clean it up, most Corvette folks will think I'm covering up engine/oil Leaks". Kinda makes sense I guess.

Actually if the engine compartment is clean a leak can be seen easier. It is more valueable to clean the compartment in my experience.

yaknow what? i forgot about MY camaro. it cost me 7k with the trailer. it needs slicks, front tires, and all new lexan with the exception of the windshield. that should all cost a little less than 3k.

so for less than 10k, i'll have an 8 second hotrod.  :devil

Got a call back from my insurance guy. Seems depending on the vin number it might not be considered a high performance car. He said not all vettes are high performance. I remembered that if was only something like 300 HP so it may be one. In that case the insurance for mt 18 year old daughter would be quite a bit cheaper than the new camaro. By about 400 per year. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I have had heaps of hot wings at that Hooters on Nasa Rd 1.
