1) Puffy ack

2) Ltars

3) People i have known for a long time in the game. Dont respect people based on their flying skills, but on how they behave within the community  :)

-edit- 4) them finish Lentolav(something) boys are good sticks and always puts up a good fight

5) the 56th are, or used to be excellent. Been awhile since my last encounter though.

---not in that order---

I fly strictly Rook and have since I started playin AH back in '06. That means I get shot down relentlessly by many good sticks from all countries and side switchers. My most respected foe's have been and are M00T and Dastardly. Those two names are the ones I see in the text buffer with my death on their sleeve the most.  :salute to both of these guys, M00T in that nasty TA152 of his and Das in that wicked Niki. Not that my fighting skills are up to par, or that I am a good pilot or anything, my K/D sucks. But as frustrating as it is to get schooled by those guys, its what makes this game fun.  :salute

w3rd. Moot is a killin machine in that 152. I dread seeing the icon change from 190 to 152 because I know who it probably is, and who's next to die.

No one has an enemy they respect ? I think a respectable nme makes this game .

i won't really call any of em enemies, but sometimes they have a red thingie above their planes.......

shuffler, guppy(although i only fought him once) crims, akak, bigrat, bigplay, cobia, snaphook, and some others i probably missed. these guys ALWAYS fight well, and clean. then if you ask em, they're all too happy to tell you what you did wrong, and what you should've done.
in guppys case......his group had a field capped, and realized we couldn't get to fighting speed....so he and his squad backed off so we could get to alt and speed....then the most excellent fight was on.

gotta throw slapshot in there too

i would have to say the most 1 player in the game that gets the most respect from me would have to be shuffler always a great fight and not afraid to mix it up at any alt.and of course there's twinboom and cobia

I used to fly mainly in Mid War but the hordes kinda took the good ole fun of the small numbers air combat. Was fun fighting Slap, Snaphook, Lazy, Bigplay. Not the same at this moment in Mid. In Early war there is always a good fight to have if Imadot is in the area. Good stick and super nice guy. Just love those fights against his Hurri 1.   :aok

respected nme, two edge sword there, like you I love switching to the side with the lower nums, so one min, some guy is green  the next he is red,

so saying that, I will also call out m00t's name I love seeing that he was the 152 I just smacked down :D

seriously though its my squadies I have the most respect for in this game, they are the ones that give the best fights, they are the ones that will stay out of a fight if its 1vs1,and <S> win or loose (unless your a skilless dweeb who happened to get lucky  :furious) they are also the ones that when I attack a huge dar and there is A lone con there, surrounded by Bad guys, pretty good chance it will turn out to be a Muppet.

none squadies the first name to come to mind is LYNX, great fight <S> win or loose,
1Boner also great guy, I met him in person, call him friend
Bruv119 shows respect and honor plus puts up a awesome fight.
chanzz we been killin each other for years now lol
skatSr awesome fight <S> win or loose

wow now that I am thinking about it there are a lot of great guys in this game and too many names to list...

Players who consistently fly USAAF models.

Funny how that works.  I like to shoot Axis iron, Japanese birds in particular since the 80th was a 5th AF PTO 38 squadron.  I'll pass everything else by to get to the Zekes, N1Ks, Ki-84s and Tonies in hopes of a good screenshot :)

Good fun fighting the K-4 guys lately though too.  They tend to stick around and fight consistantly.

The OP is an odd question. It would suggest that you go into the fight hating the enemy and only like a few of those you fly against. Personally I go into every fight with respect for my 'enemy', since they're just another player. Unless they do something that ticks me off I go into the fight with 'respect' no matter their flying style.

Just as there are enemy I respect , there are some I feel nothing but contempt for . They by and large fall into one category , the guys who never have anything positive to say . Every time the lose its an excuse , an accusation , or an insult . When the win its a declaration of their incredible skill set a denigration of yours . Win or lose never a <S> a GK a GF . Some times when you lose even if you think it was bogus , class demands you acknowledge the victor . Just as sometimes when you win a man with class will offer words of encouragement , or advice . It is not hard to find something positive , and comment on it .  I don't know how you got the idea I go into a fight hating an enemy . I don't hate anybody in game or in RL. Since I seldom know who I am fighting against going into it , the best description is wait and see . The nme I respect show the sportsmanship and class I mention above . The ones I don't the show the negative things above . I mention batfinkv , because while I consider him one of my best friends in the game  ,we spend the majority of our time trying to pour shell and shot into each other . When we fight it is never about the kill , but about the fight . He always finds something positive to say ,even in a fight where his opponent has totally screwed up  .Always the first to acknowledge that you got him , even if it was a pick at cherry picker lake in the DA .From top to bottom a class act . The trainers because I spend alot of time with them , and have had the good fortune to scrap with all of them out of the TA . No need to describe the skill sets they have .There is no need to describe the way they will make the time while they are "playing" and not "working" to point out mistakes , and give you an atta boy when they see you do something right that you used to do wrong. By and large the improvement being a direct result of their instruction . I notice you didn't name any people that in particular you respect . A big part of the reason I started this thread is because , I am always looking to improve myself as a pilot , and a member of this community . I was hoping to see the names and maybe the things those guys that are mentioned do to rate the respect of their enemy , I may find things in my character to improve on .  . I am a side switcher have been since day one in Aces High , there are guys that are not and never have been . When a man earns the respect of people he has never saved never been on their side always a red guy . Well that is a man I can learn from . I am a few days away from my 1st year in AH , so I know  I have almost everything to learn .I doubt the learning will ever stop . So as a side switcher there are some things that I can learn from guys that aren't .

I will have to go with the unkill-able Tiger flipping sheep.

They are Sheep from the Planet Krypton.   Able to stop a 60-Ton tank in its tracks and flip it without even flinching.

Im feelin ya Hlbly...I just wish I had the passion again for the game. I figured since the update is around the corner I better upgrade, thinking maybe that will give me a boost in interest. So far it hasnt. I havent taken the time to tweak anything, so my flying is all hamfisted. Hopefully the patch will be out soon and that will generate more interest. I dont see me flyin much before fall though. Summers are too precious up heeyah :)

In thought, the most respect is given to the guys who help other people out in game or on the boards.

The stick that does not whine after getting into a HO with me (win or lose).

The stick that dishes smack right back at you with double invective but clears your six next time we both fly Rook.

The buff stick that sucks you into a level 6 o'clock appraoch with cruddy gunnery during your 1st two diving passes.

The ack stick that lies doggo at the port.

The GV stick that drives his jeep onto my field & gobbles the supps.

I am confused here by the OP.
This post is from a guy who takes control of a cv runs it over a pt spawn then switches sides to sink it with a pt boat.

I know because I was on the cv at the time trying to take it away from spawn.

Then prattles on about "respect" & "honour"????

So confusing.

Meh, I respect all the guys who jump on 200 and have a chat with me after a fight.

The Few and The Flying Circus spring to mind.... but I haven't played for a long time and that's all I can remember.

I do my best to friendly to everyone in AH.... I fight fair and bite my tongue when I encounter dweebery. As a result, I find that I can switch countries (though I do this rarely, unfortunately) and get a very warm welcome.

It would be easier to answer who I don't respect.... because I respect most people who play.

I'm not going to name names, but there are people who are lame, play in a manner that is contrary to everyone else's fun except theirs and type nothing but garbage in the game. They know who they are and they know that no one respects them.

Thankfully, I find that these dorks are a minority.

Gwurzel, hands down the most friendly guy in the game, I have had some good fights with him I have alot of respect for someone that can be a good sport no matter what the outcome.   :salute

Thanks Dadsguns - that actually made me blush. I do have times where, for no reason, I'll explode (which is just my frustration at myself boiling over) but I do try and remain calm, collected and just enjoy the fights. I'm still going to hunt for you obviously  :D, one of these days I may surprise myself by actually killing ya  ;)

It would be easier for me to type who I dont respect, but that list is very very short. I love bumping into the good sticks, I generally lose, but at least I try and put up a fight without whining too much - plus I can always ask what I did wrong.

My favourite fights are with those guys who stick around, or who come back should I manage to shoot straight for once lol.....or those who agree to go 1 v 1 with me between fields - which then often turns into a good fun fight with relatively even numbers

Love this game, its the people who make it what it is with the toys we have.

 :salute

I must say that this is how I personally feel as well, exception being, I fly only in MW. I have respect for just about everyone in that arena. I do my best to give them a decent and fair fight ( don't always feel as though I do, but I try)

I honestly would be hard pressed to name someone who flys MW that I do not respect, reguardless of side they are on. I have been able to fly any chess piece I wish without any hassle at all. (I fly low numbers side almost always as of late) It has been a blast, to all my friends and foes <S>. hopefully they can say the same about me as well as others, its all about the fun.

To many to name.  Lots of great guys and gals i fly against.  Ive been Bish my entire 3 years on the game.  Got recruited into FATE and stayed there.  I respect most all I fly against.  Only a few 200 squeakers get on my nerves.  I realy like meeting up with other cops on here active and retired.  Just a lot of fun. :salute
