It's been a little while since I've flown commercially. Say you book a flight to... Anapolis Maryland. From, say... Hawaii. And your first flight is on Hawaiian Airlines. You land in, say... Las Vegas, and your next flight is on United Airlines. If you pay the baggage fee to Hawaiian Airlines, will you have to pay a second fee to United Airlines?

I *think* so unless you book from a travel site...I'm not too sure on this.

I booked from a travel site.

You do not need to pay again if you book your tickets from one source (travel agency/site).
The way it works is when you purchase your trip, even if it involves 2 separate airlines, it will be covered.
HOWEVER
If you booked on the website the first ticket and then booked the 2nd flight separately, then you will need to pay the fees on each flight.
Websites like KAYAK.COM or travel agency websites will 'build' a ticket package that will take you to and from your departure and arrival airports. If it needs to hop onto 2 different airlines to do it, it will use the 2 airlines that have partnerships to service those locations.
For example, i'm headed to california at the end of the year (from florida). I booked through a website and it gave me AIRTRAN for one leg of the flight and CONTINENTAL for the 2nd leg (stop in houston,tx).
For me, this is ONE ticket florida -> california even though im using 2 airlines. I will switch planes without paying luggage fees.
If I had purchased the ticket directly from Airtran and the 2nd leg directly from continental, I would've had to pay the baggage fee twice because I would've needed to be checked out and checked into each flight.
make sense?

That's what I was thinking.
You won't have to pay separate fees.

This first stop is my Summer Seminar at the Naval Academy. After that I'm off to NY for a week since I have no where else to go, then Nebraska for a CAP Flight Academy, then Texas, then home. Nothing committed yet, but I would sign today if they would take me! lol.

Where in NY?
Near the Jersey border. Well... past the Jersey border, but I don't like saying that ;)
Morristown NJ to be exact, but I plan on hopping the train with my uncle to Manhattan in the mornings and just walking around laughing at the weird stuff we don't get in Hawaii.

Thats NYC, the rest of the state is armed and dangerous. (NYC won't even let out of town police and peace officers carry their weapon within city limits)
