Title: ~~ New Mission ~~ Wildcats & Zeros
Post by: Stalwart on May 28, 2009, 02:01:10 PM
Two flights of four Wildcats (F4F-4 & FM2) battle with two flights of four Zeros (A6M2 & A6M5b).

http://www.esnips.com/doc/12b13687-1352-45f1-92a2-ab7227e1e2e5/Zero_Vs_Wildcat (http://www.esnips.com/doc/12b13687-1352-45f1-92a2-ab7227e1e2e5/Zero_Vs_Wildcat)

Separate routes for each flight pair converge prior to merge.

Thx for the new mission, plenty of action, however on the FM2s the guns don't fire!

Corrected an invalid setting for the FM2 flight that caused the guns not to fire.

Re-posted the zipped .mis file here:

Cool Mission. Was wondering if you warped home after the fight?

Here's a shot I made for ya:

Great Picture, BMathis  :aok

All four flights should warp back to base at roughly ten and a half minutes. You could be just about to get a kill (or killed) and *poof* you're back in formation approaching the crosswind segment of the landing pattern.  If you kill the enemy quick you could be waiting a while for the warp.

It would be nice to make the warp automatic after the enemy flights are vanquished, or perhaps to warp on demand to the next way point, but these features do not exist.

Did the mission work as designed, or did something unexpected happen?

This mission was a blast with no icons on.  Very realistic.  Nice work. :aok
