Planes I want to see:
- Ki-27 Nate
- I-16
- CR-42 Falco
- Gloster Gladiator
- Fokker D.XXI
I can think of three WWII settings where these planes saw combat. Personally, a Greece and China scenario sound very interesting. Oh, and Finland!

OK, I've subscribed. I can whine (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
The first big mistake of my beloved AH is the first plane set.
An early war one would have been the *real* AH ace in the sleeve. Enuff to hit hard WarBird and WWIIOnline.
A Blitzkrieg, North-Africa (Greece and Malta), CBI and Russian plane set .... can
you imagine the impact on players? Ah, I was forgetting the PTO (for our US friens (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif))
I dont mean *only* early war, but would have been nice to begin with it. Now its hard to come back to 1939 when people ask for monsters like the TA-152 or the Black Widow.
Its a risky choice to go back but I'd like to see it!

gatt,
The reason I like the Greece scenario was because of all those mountains!!! They flew in extremely mountainous terrain, through stunning deep valleys. It would have been glorious, having a dogfight between Gladiators and CR.42s within a treacherous mountain valley, while SM.79s flew on to bomb an aerodrome (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Hey I plopped the card down last night too!
I'd like to add the A5M Claude to that list if I may. I've been reading Saburo Sakais book and that plane saw action everywhere up till mid/late 1941.

Westy,
Yes definitely, the 'Claude'! Sorry for my omission (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

If you're going to have Claudes and Nates, we're gonna need some Chinese fighters (P-36, P-40, P-43) and some early USAAF fighters (P-35, P-36, P-40).

Good post leonid...
I'm with you guys all the way... hope to see some early/mid warplanes.
For example I would love to have some Finish/Russian winterwar scenario (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
The problem is no HA for the immediate future... so I don't believe they'll make early planes (except the easier to do types of the same plane... i.e. C202, spitMkVb etc). I would love to fly a buffalo or a polikarnov but you wouldn't be able to fight let alone survive in the MA. I feel sad... sigh (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)

Don't forget the Spanish Civil War. They had I-16s, 109s, a few He-112s (Would like to fly that), SM.79's (As leonid mentioned), Ju.52s,etc.
With all these early war planes, we would be able to stay within pretty good visual range since our turning radius's would be smaller.
Would the Brewster Buffalo be too early for that plane set? Don't forget the P-35 export version either. (I believe that was a fixed gear aircraft when exported).

If you want to guess what they might do next look for the planes tht had many varients that look alike. They want to get a good base plane set and introduce some new never before done planes at same time. heard maybe a ki-100 might be on the way which makes the ki-61 (i like this one). look for planes that only need a graphical change to bring in loads of them Pyro can then write the FM's for them.

It would make a pleasant change to see something as beautiful as the Gloster Gladiator!! or even the later Meteor would suffice!

Baaa screw the Ki-100.
Ki-44 has better performance and saw combat in much larger numbers. Over 1000 vs. less than 100.
-
If they are basing it on variants, it shouldn't take too long to add 1 more cannon, move the oil cooler from under the nose to the ventral/wing trailing edge line, and add a new paint scheme and powerplant to the La-5 and give us an La-7.
:::HINT:::HINT:::
or PLEASE!!! Whichever works best!
And, just think of how many variants of a YAK you could model?? You would defintiely get more mileage from a YAK model then a
Ki-61/Ki-100. And the greatest number of variants of a Japanese fighter was the Zero. I know it's on the way, but given the Ki-61/Ki-100 choice vs Ki-44, I would rather see a Ki-44.
Of course, they already have the `engine' model for the Ki-61 (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif).
Like I said, the La-7 should be easy.
Pretty Please?

Fiat G50???
Please no!!
pzvg, don't let HTC waste time with the Fiat G50: it was as good as useless as fighter.
Better to model the Macchi Mc200: it was used in larger number than the G50 and was an excellent fighter (think the Macchi C202 and C205 were the evolutions of that airframe).
And the Fiat Cr42 would be definitely another good choice for the Mediterranean/North Africa/Malta teather.

VeeTwin I wish I could influence what HTC makes (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
I wish for all aircraftr. NOt just because I enjoy WWII era fighter aircraft but I like having a large choice of aircraft for scenarios - be they late, mid or early war period.
I'll vote fo the MC200 too!! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

What G50 is a waste of time?
Think our finland friends can remember Olli Puhakka 3/LeLev.26 that used the Fiat G.50 and his score was 42 kills.
Hope to see the G50 too. :-)
-
The best period was ETO winter 43/44, that's the plane set I'm hoping for.
//fats
-
Visconti, although Puhakka flew G.50 he also got many kills with 109G-2 & 109G-6.
16 kills with 109G-2
13 kills with Fiat
9 kills with 109G-6
4 kills with Fokker D.XXI
Oiva Tuominen (LeLv 26, LeLv 34) got 23 kills with Fiat (more than any other (with Fiat) in Finland?).
It sure would be nice to see all those great not-so-uberplanes too.
I-16's, Fokker's, Buffalo's.....Blenheim's (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the CR.42 a biplane? If you want an uber-biplane, check out the Polikarpov I-153. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Oh, I can see it now, early Chinese front scenario. I-153, 1-16, P-36, P-40, Ki-27. A5M. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Here's another gem for you all. Reggiane Re.2005 Sagittario. (Armed with 3 20mm cannon, 2 12.7mm (50cal) machine guns, and up to 1390lb of bombs.) THIS is the Italian plane that we really want. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) It is even better than the c.205.

Vee-twin, My point is I'd like to see an early war arena, with the also-rans. Too many times on the boardes do I see posts wanting some end of the war Death machine that never even made to full production, I like the idea of going up against someone in a plane that was dismissed as obsolete, these planes fought in the war, many times against not only superior aircraft but very bad odds, plus, I like them, same as the folks ranting for the late war uber-death machine (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
'nuff said?
