We are back up and running, so you know what time it is Bishop! Tell all your friends and squad
mates because a battle nears. Were planning for a major turn out this mission, and allot of fighter
escorts. Let Operation: Phantom Fury II be one of the best bomber mission ever. Make sure you
and your squad joins up on the fun!
All Squad CO's that are in the Bishop Joint Operation Command, will be getting a email this week.
It will contain allot of information about this operation. If you are in a squad or are a CO or XO of
a squad thats on the Bishop, and would like to sign your squads up for these MoM Missions please

The mission was so cool. Got over 35 Bombers and the same amount of Escorts. We bomb the crap out of 206 (Med Airbase) and its town. But our goon died so we didn't get the field. <S> To everyone who flew with us and everyone who tryed to shot us down. It was great and I cant wait for next months! 96Delta we need to talk about it too. :rock :salute

I lost all three bombers before I could even get to the target. I do claim 2 kills though, a tempest (12KILL4) and a ME 262 (Glen69).

The LCA (Loose Cannons Alliance) scrambled approximately 19
fighters (2 Me-262's, 15 Bf109K-4's and 2 Fw190A-8's) after
receiving flash traffic from our fleet that
a large number of fighter aircraft were passing overhead.
Assuming that the bombers would be following, we WEP climbed
to our intercept altitude (30K) and plotted an intercept
course towards the bomber's expected location.
We intercepted the bomber force while they were still
above the ocean, approximately 1.5 sectors from their
intended target. Surveying the scene, we observed
approximately 12 sets of B-17G's below us and a handful
of escorts.
Our initial orders were to engage and
destroy the enemy escorts and then attack the bombers.
Seeing so few escorts upon our initial intercept, we
decided to press an attack against the bombers.
During our engagement we succeeded in destroying
17 Boeing B-17G bombers, 12 Boeing B-17G Assists,
3 Fighter Kills (various marks) and 1 Fighter Assist.
We suffered significant losses (data unavailable)
but managed to retain sufficient aircraft to continue
the fight until the bomber force had been eliminated.
Personally, I was jumped by one of the enemy escorts
(Jam934) who tenaciously stayed with me like a rabid dog
with a leg of lamb and finished me off as I was
attempting a vertical attack against a B-17 (I thought
I had lost him).
It was a great time for everyone in the LCA and we hope
those on the allied side as well! <S> GREric!

I was amoung the suggested 20 Me262's that punched a fairly big gapping hole through the bomber stream. We also did a fairly good job of occupying the escort long enough for them to lose speed and fall behind and below the bomber formations making them easy pickin's...heres a few screenies from my 7 victory run (6 b17's and 1 P47N).

I got jumped by a deuce calibrating to hit a cv we were passing over, I smoked the engine of a pony and a deuce though.

Shortly after MOM JrJolly launched a Rook revenge mission with 17+ b-24s and around 20 p-51s. it was fun. took two bases 185 and 170. There might have been two other bases but I had to rtb after the first two :rock

The LCA also lauched a retaliation mission afterward. Numbers unknown. I do know that we flattened 2 bases across the pond. After the bombers headed for home, the fighters broke off and found another enemy bomber formation deep behind enemy lines. It was a great battle until I discoed. I wasn't disappointed though, I was rtb for ammo anyways.

Imagine if we all had our crap together enuff, that we could rotate duties between the countries starting off the night with Bish as Buffs, Rooks escort, and Knights as intercept, do a 2nd run with Rooks as buffs,Bish intercept,knightescort..and finish with knights buffs, rooks intercept, bish escort.

For that to happen you Knights would need a MoM Coordinator, but you guys don't. :( But if one of you Knights that have alot of time on your hands, and want to plan out huge Knight 'Mission of the Month' Events talk to 96Delta or my self and we will get you started and give you all the info and files.
