Ok, I know where my files are located yadda yadda yadda.
When I click on my AH Film Viewer I receive this notification:

How do I get my film viewer to work?
-
<Punt>
-
Was the film viewer installed, along with the game? The film viewer uses game files. As such they cannot be installed separately.
-
It was installed with the game, fresh on a new computer.
I have a couple of squaddies saying that I need to redo the whole AHII download and start from scratch.
*shrug*
This sux. I get screen prints (SS's) from my film viewer.
-
Ok, so that is confusing. How can you get screen shots from the film viewer if the film viewer is crashing.
Is it crashing when you try to play certain films? When does it crash, excactly?
-
sigh...
Before with my old XP computer and before VISTA, I was able to do this.
I am not able to open my film viewer w/o receiving the screen print I have shown above. AHII and everything connected to it was installed from scratch on a brand spankin new computer w/ VISTA from hell.
-
Did you change the default installation folder for the game when you installed it? If not, that could be the problem.
I assume the game works fine. If you record a new film, does it play in the film viewer?
-
My AHII folders are in two dif. locations.
I can record in-game... I see the film files in my folder...
???
My film viewer does not work.
-
Have you tried installing everything (game, film viewer, etc) in a folder other than C:\Program Files\.....? I read a Skuzzy post somewhere that when using vista you shouldn't install the game, and I assume other AH components, in the default location...
-
You cannot have things in two different locations. The film viewer uses all the resources that the game uses and must be in the same place as the game is.
-
RATTFINK, follow your squadron member's advice and download the game installer again. This time, make sure the game installs to C:\Games\HTC\Aces High II\ instead of C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High II. That should fix your problems.

Vista gets the blame for user error yet again.
-
I do not see where the player is blaming Vista. Seemed to me he was providing it as information.
