Title: Proposed introduction of Kryptonite membership status...
Post by: stephen on June 07, 2009, 07:36:44 AM
I think we are low on available metals to base post frequency/number on, and I fear that some of the members may be becoming sullen because they can only reach "Plutonium" as a member status for frequently flaming and/or posting 2 word replys, thus causing a power vacume at the top....

Though I believe it would be a mistake to completly replace the current metal model , I do believe the addition of a few more elements/compounds would compliment our ability to gauge other members expertise,...(and our own) on any topic falling within the scope of this game, and military history in general.

Also I would like to see the addition of "Dirt", "pewter" and/or "pondscum"  so that new members could more readily be made to understand that the actual content of thier posts is less important than the shear number of irelivent posts they can occur over a short period of time by flaming, or otherwise degrading other members.

In closing, I myself was only recently made to understand that because of my lowly status I should shut the hell up, and let the real experts debate the topics.

thanx  :D

I personaly want to make it to the top so I will be taken more serisouly, I don't really think the metal system is a good way to show knowlagability, skill, and expertice though.

and my own personal favorite-(http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/ww279/stodd602/BillyMays.jpg)

Also, the number of stars does not equal how "seriously" you are taken. A little common sense and basic grammar go a long way though.

Billy Mays (is that how you spell it?) is dead. I think I've said enough.  Oh, and I know stars don't equal how serisouly you are taken. But it will help with the newbs. They may not pay attention to a fellw copper but they will listen to a nickle...probably, or a  silver...likely. It seems as though most people above nickle have made a carrear out of flaming my posts (on the wishlist at least), even the jokes.

See. A carrear out of flaming my posts.

And you fail with that poster in my opinion. The other one was good but that one isn't that funny and it kinda comes close to being a sucker punch of posts. It get's peoples hopes up untill they see the bottom of the poster. I'm just glad I kinda saw that coming and didn't get excited.

first off, this isn't important. And second, it we left it to guys gold and above, then all we would have is wireframe airplanes armed and stick figure paratroopers :D.
