Title: Film help
Post by: MjTalon on June 10, 2009, 05:28:20 AM
Ok, I'm looking to start making AH related films but since I'm a novice I'm stumped. Which programs/tuts do you guys have or recommend me taking a peak at so i can get the training wheels off? Thanks.  :salute

First of all, figure out if you want to export your films from the film-viewer to .AVI format or if you wish to use FRAPS (http://www.fraps.com) to record from the film-viewer. Then take a look at the Film Viewer Camera Shots Tutorial (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,254553.0.html) put together by Fulmar. Afterward use software such as Windows Movie Maker, Sony Vegas, or Adobe Premier to edit what you exported/recorded from the film viewer. Try to synchronize your footage to match your story or your music selection.

Let us know if you need any more pointers. Have fun! :aok

I also have a simple movie making tutorial that will pretty much explain the basics.

Look up "Movie Making tutorial"

Don't use the links in that thread anymore.  I did not renew my domain name for aceshighmovies.com though I still host the movies.  The correct direct link to the tutorials is here:

Talon...I used Vegas, but WMM works just as well. FRAPS is nice, even though it makes each clip huge, when made into a .wmv the movie is (well mine was) only 45mb.

Here's my thing. I'm setting up good shots but I don't know how to turn it into a movie. Would i need to import my selected shots into WMM or what? A novice here.  :o

You need to capture the video from the AH Film Viewer.  Either use a program like Fraps (which the majority of people use) or use the export function in the Film Viewer app.  It's going to be a lot easier for you to search for tutorials than have someone write one up for you.
