So I post a comment in a talk page responding to another talk comment to clarify a statement that user made (speed calculations: they posted a general calculation, I responded with a more specific calculation). My comment gets deleted because it was "off topic" and not related to an edit to the page or a pending edit. Despite the fact it's a talk page for an article on speed terminology in a scifi setting, and the user whom I was replying to ALSO didn't make his comment corresponding to an edit. The calculations I posted were a legit method to calculate the given speed in a particular context so were worth suggesting for inclusion in the article. So tell me, where is this "off topic?"
I point all of this out (IMO I'm fully justified in bringing it up as this same guy has hounded me on several talk pages while repeatedly ignoring other comments that are, by his definition, "off topic"--I saw one comment on a talk page about an image that was LITERALLY "God, that's ugly!" WTFH?) and the guy essentially shoots back with: "Suck it up, I'm an admin."
Well :salute, and way to defend the double-standard.
What IS it with people? Someone makes them an admin on a Wiki and all the sudden they go into god mode? I thought just trying to edit Wikipedia ITSELF was bad.

General rage. I don't care WHAT the subject was or would have been. And if all you're going to do is snip out one little line then you can keep your comments to yourself.

You're angry because I boiled the whole thing to its essentials but... That's what it sounds like. Just some nerd admin with some dandruff in his snatch.

Actually, I just got banned for 3 months for protesting. Granted, my last word to his "That's how I roll now shut up and deal or else" probably had something to do with it....

You should have seen the nerd rage when SAPP got a hold of the AH Wiki and made some 'minor' corrections. :rofl

I just got clobbered with a visual..
The internet, specifically chatrooms, blogs, message boards, and such places where opinions are thrown about like so many pigeon droppings, should have a universal interface. This interface monitors the user's activities and receives 'scoring' from BBS hosting sites, admins, and some regulatory faction ( grammar/spelling police, fun police...etc )
When the user commits certain acts of wanton arrogance/nerdiness/dweebery/beligerance...etc etc, the interface enables 'features' to mimic the real world effect of the user having been taken to the parking lot and 'educated' in their misbehavings.
Imagine half the keys no longer functioning on the user's keyboard.. half of the video image either blurry or missing entirely, and the user not even being able to find the board/service they committed their virtual atrocities.. Of course, this would be a temporary condition until a certain amount of healing time would have accrued.
:rofl

Dangit, ya beat me to the punch Moot. :furious
Relax Saxman, this punk is winning against you right now as you continue to dwell on his "almighty admin powers and actions". Like all nerdy-rage-filled-14-yo-social-regects, you just gotta out think them, then sit back and enjoy the pwnage. Write an email to the head site administrator laying out the facts of the situation as unbiasedly as you can (if he is the site administrator on a fan site to "X", then write the PR department of the company who produces "X" about his shinanigans. When they write the punk that he can no longer officialy represent their product ("X"), and he has to remove all copywritten "X" matterial, he will be royaly pwned).
Actually, I just got banned for 3 months for protesting. Granted, my last word to his "That's how I roll now shut up and deal or else" probably had something to do with it....
Think outside the box my friend (or in this case, any area in this punks "dominion"). He wants you to give him a legitimate reason to swing his almighty ban-hammer.
