I upped a Panzer in the MA with 40/40 and it showed that I had 1200 main gun rounds. It began firing as soon as I entered the turret/gunsight and continued to fire until it was down to 87 rounds, at which time it allowed me to fire the rest of the rounds, one at a time, normally.
During the time it was depleting the main gun uncontrollably, it shot with the rate of fire and sound of the pintle gun, even though it was the main gun shooting.
Like I said, once it shot itself down to the normal loadout, it operated normally.
If I went into any other view, driver, hull gun, pintle...it stopped shooting, only while I was in the main gun view did it continue to fire uncontrollably.
Out of the four times I upped the panzer tonight, it happened twice.
Hope I explained that so it makes sense.
I forgot to run film, I was too busy cursing that I was giving away my position with all the shooting :lol

There is a pintle gun right next to the main cannon, I doubt it was your main gun but your turret pintle if it sounded like it and fired like it :aok
-
Yes, that's your co-axial gun and it sounds like maybe your secondary fire button is sticking or something.
-
No, no, no....It was the main gun firing it just sounded like the pintle gun. I could watch the "Main Gun" rounds depleat from 1200 to 87 in
the upper left where it tells you whats being used.
After it was done, I still had all my hull gun rounds, all my pintle gun rounds and my 40/40 with smoke for my main gun.
-
Upper left?
The upper left (1) is the ammunition for the coaxial gun. It's the machine gun next to the main gun... you fire it with the secondary fire button while you're in the turret.
(2) is your main gun.

actually the "turret" is the total ammo of everything you fire through the main gun, co-axil, HE, AP, and smoke too. Do hold me to that, I'm not much of a GVer.
-
Duh...several years playing the game and I just got schooled. :aok Never programmed a secondary fire to the stick for GV's, so I don't know what was happening.
But, it was obviously on my end.
Thanks guys. :o

A long time ago, my squad CO's antivirus pulled something funny and corrupted his current session with the game. He could fly at thousands of miles per hour, drive at hundreds of miles per hour, and fire his tank's main gun around twice as fast as an M8. Was a hilarious sight indeed, taking down a town an watching him warp in from 35 miles away for the capture in under a second.
After the night of hilarity, he contacted HTC about it and it was probably resolved...I just wish it had happened to me too. :D
