I just picked up volumes 1, 2, and 4 of a 4 volume set on the Me 262 by J. Richard Smith and Eddie J. Creek. The first volume deals with the development of the 262 and the various prototypes. Volume 2 concerns the various early units and variants. Volume 3 (which i am in the process of hunting down) deals a lot with the nightfighter variants and units. The 4th volume covers the late war variants and post war testing by the allies and details the 10 original aircraft that are left.
Each book has tons of photos (most are B&W, but there are several color shots) and technical drawings, profiles of various planes and the like. The text seems to be very well written and thoroughly researched. If you have any interest in the 262, LW aircraft, or just are a plane nut (i fit all three categories) I highly recommend that you look into finding these books!
