Have you followed Skuzzy's tips on services? How many processes are running when you start Aces High? Where is Aces High installed?

I noticed you have a G15 keyboard. Did it come with any special software which could be running in the background while you're playing Aces High?
-
I do not know where that disk is. The G15 is from my old computer. To answer your question, I do not have the software for this specific keyboard installed on my new computer.
-
I followed Skuzzy's advice. Just this week I uninstalled AHII and re-downloaded everything to C drive, Games so that all my AHII folders are in one directory.
I went through
Vista: Performance Hints and Tips
&
Vista: Where are my files/folders?
-
(http://www.goangry.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/vistasucks2.jpg)
-
how many processes are you running, and does the CPU % jump more than the 2% at idle it should?
-
http://alacritypc.kensalter.com/
try this cause IIRC the image shown says it's something running on your computer creating the problem?
-
Sounds like an auto update feature kicking in - make sure all services shut down during game play - the program wrag suggests will help with that
Other possibilities...
make sure energy star options not on - ie - monitor, hard drive, ect. to shut down after a couple hours idle... could be the puter doing checks to see if still running.
still looking to me as a update search happening, like java, google or some other app that you downloaded without reading the small print.

Thanks guys, I'll try it.
