If money is not an issue, which would you choose for AH use:
A system with 2 x Intel® Xeon® Quad Core E5530
or a system with ONE Core i7 920 (dual processor systems not possible for i7)
-
corei7 at 3.33GHz
realistically though... Core2duo 3.33GHz
If money is not an issue, which would you choose for AH use:
A system with DUAL Intel® Xeon® Quad Core E5530
or a system with single Core i7 920 (dual processor systems not possible for i7)
and corei7 has 4 physical processors
:furious waiting on HTC to update the graphics so i can have an excuse to update my hardware...

Actually they are both based on same architecture. Maybe the better question is, can AH handle all 8 cores what DP Xeon gives you?

Go with the higher clock rate of the two.
For the amount of time all the other cores might be used, the slower clocked CPU's will still hurt performance more than the faster clocked CPU's with fewer cores.
The ECC memory requirement of the Xeon CPU's will also hurt performance.
