I beleive in the P-51D flight handbook it states the the P-51 should not be held in inverted manuvers longer than 10 seconds dud to risk of oil starvation to the engine, shouldnt this be modled here?

That could be applied to a number of planes Tyro most notably the Spit and I agree it would be nice to have.

awwwww I kinda like flyin upside down... lets me see who's below me. and its nice to fly up next to the bomber your escorting as he glances over and sees that you're inverted :-)

That is desperately needed. All those ufospits loop and loop and loop and stay inverted...

I wanna see them choke and sputter and lose engine and hear them scream as I pump 30mm into their arses... muahahahahaha

Ummm....loops arent the issue here since centrifugal force will keep the fuel in the bottom of the tank allowing the fuel uptake to continue.  THe maneuvers which would be affected are the negative G pushdowns (which 109s used against spits because of this fuel cutoff problem) and plain ole inverted flight.  Only other one I could think of would be an outside loop, but if you are getting killed by spits doing outside loops, you might wanna head to the TA fer a bit before you start thinking fuel cutouts would help  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

The early Spitfires had a 'float' type carbourator, and most German a/c had a direct fuel injection type... this was realized early on by the British and all Merlins had the direct fuel injection type starting with the Merlin 45 iirc.

i like the idea, all you need to do is make the engine groan like the stall warning or splutter etc to give warning you are pushing neg g too long and it could be a good addition i think.
seems to me this would be a realistic addition that wont be too hard to get used to for simmers and gamers alike.
