Ok so we are getting the Brewster and I16 that will provide some very interesting early war setups how about throwing in this early war bird to mix it up with the likes of the emil , hurri and spit 1's.
With the Finns getting what they want surely the Frenchies need some loving too.
Dewoitine D.520
The Dewoitine D.520 was slower than the Messerschmitt Bf.109E but clearly superior in manoeuvrability. A comparison was made on April 21, 1940, with an intact Bf.109E-3 that had been brought down in French territory. This comparison highlighted the fine qualities of the best French fighter of World War 11. Had France not surrendered in June 1940, the Dewoitine D.520's career might have been comparable to that of British and German fighters. Of the 775 D.520s built during the war, only 36 were on front-line duty on May 10, 1940, too few to have a significant effect.

Of the 775 D.520s built during the war, this number is significantly higher than some other things already in game.
The D.520 would be the pick of the French bunch.

I'm not sure if the game is set up for these kind of aircraft. As it stands right now no other aircraft in the game has the ability to fly in reverse so it might be a challenge to model.

Ya know, I dont feel sorry for the French any more than anyone else... but those "jokes" are not even remotely amusing anymore. Once you learn that it wasnt the French military that lost vs the Germans but rather an indecisive French government you'll understand why those of us who know history roll our eyes :rolleyes: when these types of jokes are made. Dont get me wrong, I am not saying the French would have stopped the Germans, but they would not have been rolled over like they were if only the French government would have unleashed the military to do what it was capable of doing.
btw... the D.520 would be a great addition to AH2. :aok I've been saying that for ahile now. It was more than a match vs the early 109's. :)

I think French cowardice jokes is a slap in the face to the brave French resistance fighters who were willing to sacrifice their lives at such long odds.

The Germans and Italians used them until they were worn out. I think I've got some Itai skins on them in Courage Alone.

I belive one of those Yaks3s in the picture is owned by a German man by the name of Chris Vogelgesang (farthest aircraft away) . He and his plane were in a 'WARBIRDS International' magazing a few months ago.
