Title: Salute to the Axis troops FSO 6-19-09 Operation Husky
Post by: Agent360 on June 20, 2009, 01:01:40 AM
Date 6-19-09

From: HQ Axis command, Agent360 CiC

I would like to thank all the troops for there efforts tonight.

There was most excallant team work among the troops. Command channel was handled perfectly. All squads reported enemy locations and squads followed orders to the T.

The team work on command channel really helped me in the over all battle.

Medals awarded
Note: these are Allied medals. I could not readily find a source for german medals so please forgive this historical inaccuracy.

tuk151 of the 13 MPG is awarded the Silver Star for his leadership in taking V58 and holding it for the Axis. Well done.

Thanks to the command staff at all levels.  It takes commitment and time to keep FSO running.

To all Axis squad commanders:

Please send me your after action reports if possible.

It has come to my attention that a captured enemy report details the efforst of one particular JU88 pilot.

=======

"Hobo" of the III/JG11 \'Sonderstaffel'\ is awarded the Silver Star for his heroic efforts in attacking an enemy base. "Hobo" made his initial attack run, hitting many targets. He then returned to home base re armed and by himself escaped detection from over 20 enemy fighters to make a second attack on his target. Although he was captured after being shot down his second attack was successful.

Hauptmann Hobo (w/ Herr Vilkas gunning) was the only KG11 JU88 to make it to target, (Rekrut Morfiend got a single bomb on target).  All other KG11 Ju88 were slaughtered short of target.  Hobo made it home, and alone, somehow got back in to target and dropped another hanger.  Outstanding effort all around on his part.

 :salute Agent:  I was only the "radio man" tonight, while Sloehand lead the squadron.  Hibbie did most of the work by collecting 13 allied skulls. ;)  This allowed me to help you and all nearby squadrons out by reporting all enemy activity, whether present or not.  I also tried to give you our intentions, current activity and strength whenever things changed, in hopes that you could then help direct your operations better.  Thank you, as we had fun with under your CiC command.

 :salute Arabian Knights:  Communication was fun and excellent with you.  Your group was mixing it up in a couple of OUR furballs, stealing our kills, but in effect, keeping us alive as well. :)  I wish we had enough fuel to help protect you from those 3 P47s near A26, but our group had to RTB.  Glad to see your group got out alive as well.   :lol  :D

 :salute Hobo: You never gave up.  Well done.
