You don't...unless special rules apply like GV's and get killed than up in an aircraft.  CM makes the rules, CiC allows and CO makes sure you do it right.

Um, no that is not what he meant.

FSOs are a ONE life event unless the designing CM for the event allows ONE additional life to pilots under certain conditions.

In this particular event a Squad who was assigned to do battle in GVs got a second life in aircraft at T+60. If they lost that life the frame was over for them for the night. Although they could still gun for any surviving bomber that needed gunners.

Also JU87 pilots got a second life but once they lost that they were also done.

No FSO setup has unlimited additional lives.

Yes, I do check the  logs. I would suggest your read the rules.

From launch to T+15 a planes may reup if they took no battle damage. So if they ditch, crash, disconnect, etc. withing T+15 they may reup as long as they took no damage. This was implemented way back when to cover the cases of disconnects, or a person's stick going funky (happened to me last night .. had to disconnect stick and reconnected it and calibrate it), or if they have difficulties taking off from a CV.

Now in the case of the GV pilots this applies to them when the initially launch at also when they reup with their second lives. Although they don't get a 15 minute buffer. Basically they tell the setup CM they are up and he closes the field.

Otherwise outside this initial buffer of 15 minutes if you are killed the night is over for you. If you ditch or crash or bail the night is over for you. If you actually engage the enemy within 15 minutes for launch and take battle damage then no reups for you.

FSO is a one life event and in some cases a two life event. The only exception to this is during the initial T+15 when combat is 99.9% impossible to happen.

As for those people who do reup (reup during the GVs taking their second life at a base but who weren't apart of the GV force) when they are not suppose to. The CMs do look at the logs for that and if they find that it is an illegal reup they hit that side with a penalty.

Actually there were several bad boys this week. Much more than normal.
Not to pick on them but as an example were 2 of 3 of the Dirty Aces.

There is a case of Jackal shooting down Getsum who then reupped right after the shoot down at an axis field opened for GVs. It seems that his squad command staff caught it told him was in violation and he landed his 36 later after respawning.

I am combing the logs for violations of the rule. Takes me a bit of time .. but as said the rule is 1 life or 2 if you were in GVs or JU88s. If a person ups not under those conditions or within the T+15 window with no battle damage then it is a violation.

In the mentioned case of Getsum everybody makes mistakes but he and his squad caught it and he deplaned.

Looks like CABOOSE and JDOD of the Dirty Aces violated the rules and when they saw that fields were opened for GVs to respawn they took advantage of that an respawned to. In the case of CABOOSE he respawned twice after his initial and in different plane types. A penalty will be assessed for this and the matter will be sent to 68Falcon and Sled to take appropriate disciplinary action against the squad (disciplinary actions can range up to suspension of the squad or individual players from the event).

Still going through the rest of the logs looking for things.

You aren't being a budinski. CMs rely on the command staff of each squad to report any concerns or issues to us so that we can look into it via the CM logs (much more detailed than you get) and see if there was indeed a violation.

In the case of Getsum there wasn't because he realized his mistake and deplaned before being engaged or engaging.

In the case of CABOOSE AND JDOD those are definitely violation of the 1 life rule and will result in a penalty and the squad being sanctioned in some way.
