Title: Twice in a row
Post by: BlauK on June 21, 2009, 03:36:07 PM
Ever dunnit (landed kills) twice in a row? I mean without anyone landing kills in between... and this was at LWA. I've flown here about 10 years and this was the first time for me :)

well, WTG, but if I was you I would have just rearmed and landed 4 kills giving me more perks.

I thought that I was the only one concerned with the space between text buffer messages.

By the way, nice choice of matching yellow.

Well.. u know, it just happened to happen. I was not trying for it or anything. When I got the 2nd two kills and was still quite near to the base, I decided to land them and to grab a new plane. Just thought this was funny :)

Perks are hardly an issue after several years of flying AH.

maybe I just got you wrong,

but rearming doesn't give no more perks. Landing four kills at once or landing 2 kills each doesn't make a difference.

However, of you are going for perks, rearming isn't generally not the best idea if you have already some kills. Chances are that you're going to get shot down, so all kills you had during the ongoing sortie are getting the worse "killed" mission end perk multiplier.

It happened to me once. I landed two kills, re-upped, got two proxies on auger-dweeb vulchtards, and landed those. Probably within a span of 15 seconds.

Yes. There is no kind of "kill streak bonus"

Why does this remind me of the old tale, "I killed 7 flies in swat."

I've done it lots. I've done the opposite lots, too! (landed no kills several times in a row!)

One time I recall was a 262 run with about 6 kills, landed, reupped instantly from same field, got 7 more kills, landed, all over the same 3-sector area, a base hotly contested.

Krusty, you mean that that no-one landed any kills while you flew your second Me262 and landed those 7 kills?
Any kills I land in 262 usually take all the fuel it carries... = a long time :)

1.25*4=1.25*2+1.25*2

I mean are you sure that that's the way it works, because to me it seemed like I get more perks for landing more kills at one time.

Haven't checked, but that's what I remember it being announced as by the devs, and what I've read off the trainers' site.  1.25 multiplier for landing, 1.5 on a CV.  1.0 for anything else (death/ditch/etc).

I must have misunderstood the original post. I have done that a number of times, often on really short hops, but not in the 262 example I listed.

I thought if you get multiple kills, re-arm/ re-up and get more kills and then land them, the perks would stay the same but your K/D and Kill points per sortie go up. Or something to that effect.  :huh
