...1942 New Employee's handbook.

My sister bought this for my birthday, along with a 1942 Boeing Code of Conduct book.
I scanned each page (2 pages per link) Might be hard to read. You had to be finger printed, and you couldn't use the telephone from work.  (Hey, it was a time of war!)

Now this is what I mean when I talk of my disdain for engineers as they all seem to be stuck in Rube Goldberg mode.
The companies of the day were genius.
Genius isnt takeing something and making it more and more complex. Any 5 year old can do that.
Genius is taking something complex and making it simple.

I'd have to play Civilization IV for awhile to see who said it, but it's certainly the truth.

I thought you were going to give away their secrect for keeping employees in line... 'keep all employees under constent threat of layoffs' ;)
