They would be nice to see if they meet HTC's inclusion criteria.  Other than that PROPS BEFORE JETS!!! :x

The only other jets that might qualify are the Meteor Mk III and the He162.  The P-80 was only the YP-80 in WWII and saw no service.

I would like to see the British Meteor, it meets all the requirements in order for it be added to the game. It was originally designed to counter-act the 262 but the two never met, there are some rumors where pilots say they shot down some of Hitler's V1 and V2 missiles while on there way to London. Plus I think we could always use another jet fighter for some variety.  :lol :rofl           :salute

meteor say they shot down some of Hitler's famous V1 and V2 rockets while on their way to London.

V1 was no rocket

No V2 was ever shot down.

Probably because the V2 was ballistic. Over 2000mph in the final phase of flight.

There's a video somewhere I saw a while back of a Gloster Meteor spotting a V2. He chased after it and eventually he caught up to it and when he got in range of it, his guns jammed. So he pulled along side it and nudged at one of his fins with his wing nocking it off course. Thats what I was referring too, I don't know if it's false or not (probably is) that's why I said "rumored", etc.

That's the V-1 buzzbomb he chased down.  He couldn't chase down a V-2 unless
he was driving an X-wing  :aok

Why don't you just look up what a V-1 was and what a V-2 was?

The V-2 traveled at 3-4 times the speed of sound as it approached it's target. You're thinking of V-1's.

Most V-1's were not even "shot down" once they figured out what they were.

Shooting V-1s full of a few hundred pounds of explosives...no thanks!

They did use air pressure to override the gyro and flip the V-1.

Ace, look at the flight profile from a rocket simulating the V-2:

That's Mach 2 at time of impact.

This is how high it came down from:

Ok my bad, it was probably a V1, but there is a video out there of what I said happened. Still trying to find it.
