Title: Ta 152 such a great diver ?

From lilited experience in flying it, it seems a monster at E retention. Comparable to Jug in knifefight.

Also, it dives the best - even P51 and Tempest are left behind. They only start gaining once the speeds are bled to level flying.

Are those wings such a huge difference ?

It's considerably heavier than the Fw 190A series and D-9. If anything the wings would be holding it up with the extra drag.
