Title: Exciting new fraps WW2 aerial combat videos (umm with noisy music...)!

Okay, firstly these are WW2 dogfighting 'fan-vids' made from footage taken from 'Dark Blue World', 'Pearl Harbor' and the documentary 'The Fighting Lady'...
...if any of you remember my trollishly annoying 'me262/Some Girls' video (hey, anyone see Crank 2: High Voltage? That was a cool movie!) then you may be unsurprised to find these videos again feature 'punky/noisy' rock music, but not applied so randomly flippantly as that earlier Aces High II effort.

In order of battle, and in musical chronology...

Glenn Branca - Bad Smell (excerpt) - from 1980

The footage is mainly from the Czech film 'Dark Blue World' with a little of the Battle of Britain bits of Michael Bay's misjudged movie, obviously there are slight spoilers for these films, but I was just using clips of the planes not the actors, so they're not too blatant spoilers.

Zeni Geva - On Suicide - from 1990, a Japanese noise band covering an old Weill/Brecht 'musical poem', weird!

The attack on Pearl Harbor from that Bay movie is the footage, with Ben Affleck removed thankfully. It seems to work pretty well.

Unsane - 455 - from 1993, and old-schoolish 'grunge/noise' instrumental featuring dragster racing samples...

I wanted to put that song in a video for a while, and I also wanted to edit the gun-cam footage from 'The Fighting Lady', so two birds...
...it's kind of mismatched and kind of not, reminds me of those old clip-shows of nascar crashes, but with zeros and hellcats and stuff instead. It's actually like a 'normal' Unsane video pretty much!

Lastly, sad news, my dad, who played Aces High (and Air Warrior, and microsoft flight sim) died earlier this year from asbestos cancer. I myself have only been flying online from home for the last few years, so before then, since last century I was flying on his account as we often took turns when I was over his house, his username was '60gordon' (and years ago on AW3 we were 'Zim'), I made a tribute video from a replay I had saved...

It's kind of sad so be warned, the camera just stays stuck with him as he flies with the horde (and me) and I dubbed on some opera music that he loved - there's some cool radio chatter, 60gordon enjoyed all that very much and was just happy to fly. RIP.

Well that's me ('drewbaby' lol) out, see you in the skies!

Thx drewgordon ... enjoyed ur films & in some cases the music was most appropriate
but then to each his own likes & dislikes.  Sorry to hear about the demise of ur father
, ur film as a tribute to him was nice; the classical music is most enjoyable.TY   :aok :
