Title: NVIDIA drivers

I've had some issues as of late, mostly jagged edges. I have a Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT. Current drivers are 7.15.11.7813 dated 9 /17/08.  Nvidia website shows an update, to 9.09.0428, I think I'm reading that correctly.  Anyone know if it is a good move?  Or do I stay with what I have.

Give them a try,ya can always roll back the drivers!

 the jagged lines sounds like it's an AA setting,might try adjusting that to see also.

had the same problem recently, updated drivers once no help, tried it again later and it fixed the jagged edges.

I have the same card.  The latest Driver that I am using  for it is 185.85.  You can go to the Nvidia Web site (driver download) and search for GEForce Series 8 drivers.  Select 8500 GT to get the latest version.  After downloading and installing the drivers open the Nvidia Control Panel and select "Manage 3D settings"  then select "a program to customize" and highlight "Aces High".  You can now customize your 3D settings.  I have my Antialiasing mode set to "Enhance the application setting" and my "Antializsing setting" set at 16x.  There is an explanation for each setting to assist you in the set up.  It is very easy to use.   :salute

16x Anti-Aliasing on an 8500GT running Aces High spells out: Low Frame Rates. If he is going to be running AA he should try it at 2x first to make sure it won't cause too much trouble.

I do not get low frame rates.  I have a wide screen monitor with a max frame rate of 60 FPS and that is what I am getting.  However, I made it to 16x by trying it first at 4x and moving up to the present setting.

Upon doing some reading on a couple different fourms, I found that the latest drivers 186.??  are having some issues. (bluescreens, lockups, and some other minor anoyances ). So I opted to not download them.

I spent several hours messing with control panel, and finally somehow. Everything smoothed out fine, not sure why as I found that, if I made a change in control panel, then closed it, it reverted back to the previous setting. How I got everthing smooth was to force @ 8X  AA. then miniumize cvontrol panel then run the game.

Weird stuff for sure, game looked awesome! Yes once I finally closed control panel everything reverted back to where it had always been, and the game still looked great.  :x

My frame rates throughout this adventure never changed really  ( around 70 all the time) . So in the end, this dumb gearhead has no clue what happened or why  :lol.  I'm told I could look in Nvidia's driver archives to find a known good driver, ie 185. ??   But I not sure I want to go there, at least right now.
