Title: New Braunfels.... Guadalupe River

Post by: Jenks on July 02, 2009, 01:07:57 PM: I remember that area well. I lived in Austin for about 4 yrs. I absolutely loved Octoberfest there, and the chilli cookoffs. (sigh) I don't miss the chiggers and water mocasins tho'.

It just ain't right when you go on family 'fun' trips and the highlight for the kids is the shell gas station right next to the tubing place because the hand dryers in the bathrooms do this to your skin:

Wow, I just left there not a day ago! If you'll be there near the end of the summer, go to Schlitterbahn as well. I had a great time but the lines were so long I got on 3 rides in 6 hours...

There are six Shiner Bock's chilling in my fridge right now. One of the best US domestic beers. You're making me thirsty.
