Title: Self proclaimed modern music aficionados (i.e. kids under 25)
Post by: Golfer on July 02, 2009, 08:28:34 PM
Seether DID NOT write Careless Whisper.  It is a good song, they did a good cover but for crying out loud when would you ever expect Seether to write a song like that?

Thanks for listening.

"Without You" was Badfinger's tune as well.

They sound just like Creed, except without religious overtones. More pop music churned out by the machine.

That ****ing cover is driving me insane. I hated George Michael's music, and now I hate the covers. When Fred Durst did "Faith", it was mildly amusing. The cover of Careless Whisper is just crap, and they're on one radio station or another with it all the damned time. Gah.

I like "Fake It" and a couple other tunes by them.  I prefer Supergrass and Danko Jones myself.

That might explain a few things....

I haven't listened to a radio for years.

I have to mail-order all of my music.

I've got a $200 package on the way from Germany as we speak, actually.

I can't wait. Clear vinyl, limited release.... only 100 copies I think.  :rock

LOL
I'm over 50 and like Seether, Disturbed and quite a few other bands rather than having my head stuck in the past.

I change the station as soon as they play either That damned song,or kid rocks blatant lame attempt to suck in Skynyrd fans.Durst should have been shot when he ruined Wish you were here and Behind blue eyes. The true lameness of a so called artist is in how much they do other peoples music instead of actually trying to write something. Kinda like Hollywoods infatuation with just remaking movies and taking as little risk as they can.
I know a lot of rock bands took their chops from the old blues, like Zepp, but I dont think anyone can say they werent creative. :aok
